I grew up in varying types of wilderness. We always had dogs, gardens,love. I moved to Alaska to “pay off my student loans” in 1986 and ended up staying for almost 10 years. But what I want to tell you is this: I lived with approximately 100 sled dogs and one other person in South Central Alaska.

Dave ran the Iditarod yearly. So, I lived like this : from the commercial salmon camp back to dog camp .Rinse and repeat !I’m not gonna deny the gratitude of having this, and many, many more amazing adventures . I’m a world cruiser .

My only neighbors were an Old Believer Russian village. They are fishing boat building, strict religious group of souls. They don’t like or have dogs. I played volleyball in their school for fun with the girls. They came over to ask me to play. They did play in their skirts and scarves hair. I studied wildlife biology and ended up being a fisheries tech in Alaska. I worked on a project in the commercial salmon sector tagging and relocating clipped dorsal finned Silver salmon.

I prefer to be outside, work on my on land and home and play way way too much finger style guitar each day of my life. Looking for the next B I O M E to explore !
