Available for adoption: 🐾 Meet Napoleon! 🐾
Napoleon is a handsome little guy who is approximately 1½–2 years old and weighs around 12 pounds. He is a Chihuahua mix that has an underbite, so this guy would be a great candidate for a DNA test. 😁
He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated. He is currently being fostered in a loving home where he is learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a family. ❤️
Napoleon can be timid at times, so it’s clear that he hasn’t always had the easiest life. Sometimes when his foster mom reaches towards him to put on his leash, he cowers as though he expects to be hurt. But underneath that uncertainty is a sweet little dog who is slowly coming out of his shell and learning to trust. He is not a yappy barker 🥺❤️
He has made amazing progress with potty training and is doing wonderfully going outside to do his business! He is also crate trained and does well on a leash.
He is learning his name, working on “sit” and “no,” and is beginning to pick up on some basic manners. He is also learning to wait patiently for his food bowl.
And then there’s his zoomie side! 😂 One minute Napoleon can be the most timid little guy in the world, and the next minute he’s bouncing around with the zoomies like there’s no tomorrow! Watching that personality start to come out is pretty special.
Napoleon will need a patient, understanding adopter who will give him the time and space he needs to build confidence.
He deserves a home where he can finally learn that hands are for loving, people are safe, and he never has to be afraid again.
