Obsidian (birthdate 3/1/26) is a handsome DSH Manx boy… he, along with his brother snd two sisters, were surrendered by an owner with too many cats. Onsidian is sweet, gentle, adventuresome, and extremely social with a strong purr of contentment when he is held and receiving pets and affection from her foster mom. He is excellent with other cats and is slowly being introduced to dogs.
Obsidian is felv/fiv tested, vaccinated, microchipped and scheduled for his neuter. . We are accepting applications now; however, he will not be available for adoption until after his neuter on September 14th.

Zeus (birthdate 9/15/22) was picked up as a stray by Animal Control in Burgettstown early July… this sweet, gentle Rottweiler was extremely thin, weighing only 55 pounds. When his stray hold was over, he was released to Pet Search.
After 7 weeks of good food, lots of love and zoomies in the yard, Zeus is now a very healthy 100 pounds. It was thought that Zeus has a sarcoma on his joints; however, they are non existent now! The “calloused” areas have all but disappeared as he is able to run and play. We believe that Zeus was most likely crated for long periods of time in a crate too small for him which caused these “sarcoma-like” lesions.
Zeus loves attention and is happiest when getting lots of love and kisses from his foster mom. He is now neutered, 4dx tested, vaccinated and microchipped. He needs work on leash walking and we are slowly introducing him to other dogs.
Zeus would be an incredible dog for a family that has a strong understanding of the stubborn Rottweiler mentality and is willing to continue to work with him on his leash walking.

Pet Search was asked to accept Gravy on a transport to save him from euthanization because of skin issues. By switching his food to non chicken diet, he is now healthy with beautiful fur.
Gravy has a new mom that will continue to care for him… we are so very happy for Gravy and his new mom❤️

The WCCF Gives Day of Giving officially takes place on September 10th - that is the day that credit card donations are accepted. However, if you pay by check, the donations are accepted now through September 10th. All that you need to do is submit your check with the form that is available in this post.

WCCF Gives is one of our biggest fundraiser of the year. There is a matching funds pool of money that will be awarded through your donations and the number of people donating. The number of animals being surrendered this year is three times the number of animals being adopted!

Tillie and Snow are only two of our “special needs” foster kids… Tillie is deaf and blind; Snow is deaf. The foster parents are working with them and with a trainer to make them more responsive to commands to help with adoptions.

Please help us, our foster homes and our rescue animals again this year. We could not operate Pet Search and offer the high degree of care without you!

Topaz is sweet, gentle and a little shy when meeting new people but has a strong purr of contentment when she is held and receiving pets and affection from her foster mom. She is excellent with other cats and is slowly being introduced to dogs.

Murray refined write up: Murray is a very handsome 7-year old, 35 lbs. brindle terrier mix boy. His birthdate is 7/20/19. Originally brought to the Humane Society of St Thomas as a stray, Murray made his way to Pet Search through a transport and was quickly adopted. Fast forward to 2026… Murray is back with Pet Search due to a family situation.

Murray was raised with children, loves to play with other dogs, loves to gut fluffy toys, is very affectionate, housebroken and crate trained. He is updated on his vaccines, 4DX negative and of course neutered. Murray loves being with people and getting love and attention; he has no resource guarding or food aggression.

Although he is 7, he has the energy of a puppy! He needs an active household with lots of walks and/or play with fur-siblings. Want to meet Murray… please complete an application and his foster mom will be in contact!
