Hannah (4/8/25) was picked up by local Animal Control as a stray..: when no one reported her as missing, she was turned over to Pet Search foster care. She is an American Staffie mix.
This mid size sweetheart who weighs around 50 pounds is an affectionate girl who loves to run in the yard, chase balls, and snuggle when she is ready to settle down with her foster mom.
Hannah is good with other dogs as long as they accept her high energy and playfulness. She will chase cats when they run from her, but does not hurt them. This happy girl just wants to please and is very responsive to a gentle hand and a soft voice. She is eager to learn and has shown in her foster home that she is smart and easy to train.
Hannah is crate trained and housebroken; vaccinated, spayed, 4DX tested and microchipped. She will do well in a family with children.
Someone tossed this gem of a girl away and it was their loss; she can be your new gem!

Varley (11/1/2019) came to Pet Search in February 2020 as a 12 week old puppy from St Thomas. He was quickly adopted, but then returned to pet search 6 months later. He was a “different” pup… a little apprehensive of men. The foster family worked with Varley on trusting men and he was adopted again in May 2021.
Varley was returned to Pet Search again because of issues with men and we have been working diligently with training to get him past this hurdle. Varley is now 7 years old and can be very loving. He loves women and is very responsive to them, but needs a little time to warm up to a man that is soft spoken and will be patient. Varley is better with female dogs that are passive and a little smaller than him and older children. He is housebroken but will have an accident in his crate sometimes. With patience and understanding, Varley will make a great dog for a single woman or a Couple/family with a quieter lifestyle. All he needs is a chance!
He loves riding in the car, walks and playing ball!
Applications can he found at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog or petsearchpa.org

Glinda (8/3/26) and littermates were born under a storage container at a restaurant in Washington. Mom (Nessa) was very friendly which made it easier to catch the kittens when they were 4 weeks old. Glinda is felv/fiv negative, has her first set of vaccines, microchipped and scheduled for spay. Her additional vaccines and spay are included in her adoption.
This beautiful little tabby is so loving and playful and needs a family with kids. She has been raised with dogs and other cats.

Maple (10/1/24) is a sweet gentle hound mix that sea a stray brought through Animal Control Services in Washington County. Maple is around 45 pounds, approximately 2 years old and was quite frightened when she was found. Since arriving to her foster home, we have learned a lot about Maple…
🐾 She has had several litters of puppies
🐾 She was fearful of men and strangers approaching her
🐾 She likes other dogs as long as they respect her space.
Maple has been 4 dx tested, vaccinated and microchipped. She is scheduled for her spay in a few weeks.
Maple loves kids and we will be testing her with cats soon. She is housebroken and now crate trained.
This little lady deserves a home where she can be spoiled and receive the love she so deserves. Once a dog that has a tail between her legs is now a happy girl who wags her tail and wiggles her body for her foster parents. She will continue to learn trust and will make a wonderful addition to a family.

Ginger came to us through Animal Control Services in Washington… she was an older stray girl that no one claimed. Our wonderful foster Debbie Lyn took this sweet girl into her home and gave her everything she needed, including testing and treatment for a growth on her back leg that ended up being cancerous.
The cancer had spread and after careful consideration because we knew she was in pain, She crossed the the Rainbow Bridge with Debbie holding her until her final breath.
Thank you Debbie Lyn and Mandy being with her until the end.
No more pain💔
