Looking forward to a great season this year!

Considering offering skinning and quartering services at my shop. You bring a cooler and your deer, I would skin and quarter and you can either finish processing yourself or take to your favorite butcher. Would there be any interest from anyone? Let me know!

Ugh…not what I wanted to see upon test fitting. Especially since I’m trying to make up time. And this is a sizable cape at 23” neck.

Time for a conversation with the client to determine how he wants to proceed.

When skinning for a mount, please cut as little as possible, don’t split the brisket and don’t cut anything on the front legs.

Wanted to make a quick update post to my clients:

After several family emergencies/events/issues this spring and summer I had gotten about 2-3 months behind in the shop. I have been chugging away at the backlog and making good progress.

Today I will be making adjustments to expected due dates and will send out messages through Mount Monitor with that information. Keep an eye out for that.

I am on track to have ALL 2025 work completed by end of November with the exception of a couple late snow geese and turkeys. Those will be end of January.

Thank you all and I look forward to a great season ahead!

Not everyone is getting a pedastal mount but this is a great way to prep any deer for any regular shoulder mount. The more hide we have that is intact, the better off it is and the better the mount will be.
And for crying out loud, DON'T split the brisket!

Very productive day in the shop today. Lots of prep work finished up. Quite a few life size ready for final sizing and mounting. The last deer for the season are ready to mount while the last 2 capes are in the process of tanning.
