“Premium” doesn’t always mean healthy. 👀
Most cat parents choose food by the packaging but not the ingredients.
But behind some fancy labels, there’s more filler than real meat.

Day 5 of our 28-Day Feeding Challenge shows how to read the label like a pro: what to look for, what to avoid, and one simple rule that changes everything.

🍁 How to Keep Your Dog Healthy This Fall

Fall is here! Cooler air, crunchy leaves, pumpkin spice everything… and somehow your dog wants to taste it all 😅

But this season also means less outdoor time, more snacks, and sneaky weight gain.
Here’s how to keep your pup happy and healthy while you’re both enjoying sweater weather 🐾

1️⃣ Watch the portions.
When walks get shorter, dogs burn fewer calories. Try cutting portions just a little, it really makes a difference.

2️⃣ Keep them moving.
Don’t let chilly mornings stop you! A short walk, a fetch session in the yard, or even an indoor toy chase can help burn that extra energy.

3️⃣ Take care of their coat.
Dry, windy weather can mess with their skin. A few drops of omega-3 or a bit of salmon in their food keeps the fur shiny and smooth 🐕✨

4️⃣ Stick to a simple routine.
Dogs love knowing what to expect — same meal times, same bedtime cuddles. It keeps their stress (and yours) low.

Fall can be cozy and healthy, you just need a little balance ❤️

🐶 Why Is My Dog Always Hungry?

You know that look: “I haven’t eaten in days” face? 🥺
You fill the bowl, and two minutes later… those eyes again.
Then after dinner. Then before bed.
You start wondering, “Is my dog really that hungry… or just dramatic?”

Spoiler: it’s not always real hunger.

💭 1. It’s a habit, not hunger

Dogs are amazing at learning what gets them food.
Every time you give in to that sad little face, their brain goes:

“Beg = snack. Got it.”
And boom — you’ve got a furry master manipulator on your hands 😅

⚖️ 2. “A little extra” adds up fast

Most of us eyeball portions and usually overshoot.
Even 10% extra a day can lead to serious weight gain over time.
And you might not even notice it at first, fur hides a lot!

🧠 3. Low-quality food = low satiety

Some kibbles just don’t keep them full.
Too many carbs, not enough protein or fiber and your dog’s hungry again an hour later.
Check the label, and make sure there’s balance.
And don’t forget water, thirst often feels like hunger.

❤️ 4. Sometimes they just want attention

Eating together is bonding time for dogs.
If they’re bored or lonely, asking for food is their way to connect.
So next time, skip the snack and go for a walk or cuddle instead 🐾

📲 Bottom line:
Not every “I’m starving” means real hunger.

🩺 Why Feeding Your Dog Right Actually Saves You Money on the Vet

Most pet parents only notice a problem when it’s already time for treatment.
But here’s the truth: around 60% of vet visits are caused by poor nutrition.

Let’s break it down 👇

💡 1. Fewer stomach and kidney problems
Overfeeding, table scraps, or random feeding schedules overload your dog’s organs.
➡️ Dogs on a balanced diet are about 40% less likely to have stomach or kidney issues (American Veterinary Association).

💪 2. Strong immune system = fewer surprise vet bills
A diet rich in quality protein, omega-3s, and antioxidants keeps the gut healthy and that’s where 70% of the immune system lives.
➡️ That means fewer allergies, fewer infections, and way fewer “mystery issues” that turn into expensive tests.

⚖️ 3. Healthy weight = healthy wallet
Extra pounds don’t just look cute, they raise the risk of diabetes, arthritis, and heart problems.
➡️ Every extra pound adds about 15% more health risk and up to 20% more medical costs (Pet Obesity Association).

💸 4. Good food is an investment, not an expense
When your dog eats right and gets the right calories, their body runs smoothly — not in “damage control mode.”
You’ll notice it: fewer meds, fewer vet visits, and way more energy.

📲 Bottom line:
Feeding right is the smartest way to save.

Sometimes the biggest transformations start with something as small as what’s in the bowl.
