I’m proud to announce that I’m now officially a Registered Professional Member of the International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork (IAAMB/ACWT)!

IAAMB is a professional organization dedicated to promoting animal massage and bodywork through education, professional standards, and a supportive community.

Another exciting milestone in my journey as a Certified Equine and Canine Sports Massage Therapist!

I’m grateful for every opportunity to volunteer with the National Park Service, caring for these incredible horses.
And sweet Misty, with her kind eyes and gentle soul, will always be my favorite. 🤍🐴

P.S. Manassas National Battlefield Park… you might want to keep an eye on Misty during my next visit. I may be tempted to take her home. 😉

🇦🇹 Let’s try something new! 🇦🇹

Some of you may know that I’m originally from Austria, a country with some incredible native horse breeds. Over the next few weeks, I’d love to introduce you to them, starting with one that’s close to my heart…

🐴 The Haflinger – probably Austria’s most famous horse breed.

As a kid, I had a wonderful Haflinger mare named Cindy, so this breed will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️

Here are a few fun facts about Haflingers:
✨ Originated in the Tyrolean Alps of Austria.
✨ Instantly recognizable by their golden chestnut coat and long flaxen mane and tail.
✨ Bred to be sure-footed mountain horses, making them incredibly hardy, strong, and resilient.
✨ Despite their compact size, they’re powerful enough to carry adults and excel in riding, driving, trail , and even dressage.
✨ Known for their kind, willing personalities and people-oriented nature, they’re fantastic family horses.

I had the chance to meet “Albert” today. What an incredible horse. Massive, majestic, and remarkably calm and gentle.

As an equine bodyworker, all I could think was… imagine getting to work on one of these amazing athletes.

So, Budweiser… if your Clydesdales ever need a massage therapist, you know where to find me. 😉 A girl can dream! 🍻🐴

Today we celebrate all the dads who show up every day, whether for their families, their horses, their dogs, or their communities.

Thank you for the early mornings at the barn, the long days on the road, the encouragement from the sidelines, and the countless sacrifices made behind the scenes.

Wishing all fathers, grandfathers, and father figures a wonderful Father’s Day filled with appreciation, relaxation, and time spent with those you love. 💙

Dewey & Bourbon Spa Day 🐴❤️

One of my favorite parts of this job is building relationships with both horses and their owners over time. It was so nice to see recurring client Dewey again and spend some quality time helping him feel his best.

This visit was extra special because I also got to meet his new brother, Bourbon, and introduce him to his very first massage session. He was such a good boy and took everything in stride. Watching a horse relax and discover how good bodywork can feel never gets old.

Thank you, Jessica Ulsenheimer, for trusting me with your boys. It means so much to be part of their wellness team and help keep them comfortable, happy, and performing at their best.

I can’t wait to see Dewey and Bourbon again soon. They already have me looking forward to the next visit! ❤️

Such an interesting and important article about how often subtle signs of lameness go unnoticed. Horses are incredibly good at compensating, which makes owner awareness and early detection so important for their comfort, performance, and long term soundness.

Definitely worth the read for every horse owner, rider, trainer, and equine professional. ✨

New research reveals a surprising gap in horse owner awareness. A study presented at our 2026 conference found that most horse owners struggle to identify hindlimb and bilateral lameness — and are more confident than their results suggest.
