About Snoutz Bringing dog training experts to you for your best dog life

This is going to ruffle some feathers, so hang in there.

🧠 Most skilled trainers are offline. They’re busy training clients and continuing to learn what’s new in animal behavioral science so they can bring you the best services.

Our trainers are certified and bound by ethical duties, so when we are online, 👉we won’t be saying and showing you just anything for clicks and attention.

Social algos are built for engagement, not to solve your problems. ❌ If it’s spicy, filled with trolls, and built for comments at any cost, it will get reach and be in your feed.

🗣️Anti-science dog training accounts are popular, because anything goes for your attention.

Relatable dog owners passing on tips because they had success with their dogs is great. 🐾 But they solved their dog’s issues in their specific context. That’s not the same thing as yours.

All of this makes it hard for you to figure out what’s right and what you need to do for your dog. That sucks. 🤷‍♀️

Science and skill > Follower counts

👉 When you’re scrolling, be careful. Take a moment to go look at the trainer’s experience and credentials on their site.

We see a lot of students come to us after having followed bad advice that made their dog’s behavior worse. 🥴

If you’re looking for training, these are the areas where we can help you:
✅ Reactive dog training
✅ Loose leash walking

When most people think of dog training, they think of teaching their dog cues or fixing a problem behavior.

Teaching cues is one thing. Showing your dog how to use them is different.

🫢 You’ve probably experienced teaching your dog a skill. Then you try to use it in public, and your dog doesn’t offer you the behavior you wanted.

Remember, your puppy is brand new here, and you have to show them how to use cues to live in your human world beyond your living room.

👉 A dog owner with a well-mannered dog doesn’t just know a few random cues they picked up online. They have multiple ways to communicate with their dog and know how to use those cues to live well together.

They also understand that meeting their dog’s needs is a big part of behavior.

✅ If there’s one thing we wish every puppy owner knew, it’s that the foundation you create in puppy benefits your dog for a lifetime.

Puppyhood is a short and precious window. 👉 We see a lot of adolescent and adult dog owners wanting to fix problem behaviors they didn’t know they could have addressed earlier.

‼️We’d much rather you make the smaller investment to train your puppy well up front than have to spend a lot of time and resources later.

That’s why in our puppy program, we make sure dog owners have a step-by-step playbook for puppyhood.

If you want to set your puppy up for success from the beginning, comment or DM “MYPUP” to learn how. 💫

‼️ That’s a common myth. You don’t need a dedicated helper dog for reactive dog training.

You do need to know how to use your environment to create training opportunities for your dog.

➡️ If your dog is reactive to dogs, people, or vehicles, those triggers are everywhere. There’s no shortage of your dog’s triggers.

You’re probably avoiding them so your dog doesn’t bark, lunge, or growl on walks.

✅ What if instead of avoiding them, you had the skills to decide when to turn those encounters into opportunities to teach your dog to stay calm?

Reactive dog training isn’t a special session with a special dog. It’s how you and your dog learn to handle your walks to keep your dog relaxed and under threshold.

🐾 In our reactivity program, we teach our students how to add techniques right into their walks to:
1 Keep their dogs calm when triggers are present
2 Use their natural walking environment to turn reactions into new, calmer behavior
3 And, know when to train vs when to manage a moment for best learning results

If you’re a reactive dog owner who wants to take the stress out of your walks, you have everything you need to get started now.

Pulling on leash can be a hard habit to break. It’s very reinforcing for your dog to pull and get access to what they want.

How do you stop it?

That’s exactly what we’re showing you how to do with Walk Into Summer starting on 6/1. ☀️

👉 Enjoy your walks together instead of getting pulled
👉 Get consistency instead of chaos
👉 Learn how to get your dog’s attention and keep it
👉 Finally get that nice loose leash walk you’ve wanted

In our community, we’ll show you walking games you can add right into your walks. 🐾 They’re fun, practical, and your dog will learn to walk nicely on leash.

✅ This is perfect if you have a young dog learning skills for the first time, and for more mature dogs who need to create better walking habits.

🤯 You’ll be surprised at what a few minutes of walking games can do to make your walks more enjoyable and connected with your dog.

💫 Comment or DM “WALK” to learn the training games that will improve your walks.

We get this question all the time. When will my puppy finally chill out?!? 😭 This is one of our popular posts and is worth resharing.

Every dog is different, and things like breed, training, and the effort you put into raising them all play a part. But generally, most dogs settle into a calmer routine between 2 to 3 years old.

💡 Remember, just because they’re more settled doesn’t mean you should stop meeting their needs. In adulthood, they’ll still need enrichment, activities, and attention to their behavior.

👉 If you’re in puppyhood or adolescence, be patient and hang in there. These stages are more demanding, but all the work you’re putting in now will pay off in the long run.

✅ Between puppyhood and adulthood, your dog’s needs will change, and you’ll need to evolve how you meet them. We have a community with engaging monthly activities to help your dog stay enriched, meet their developing needs, and keep learning. Plus, you can ask our trainers any questions.

💫 Comment or DM “COMMUNITY” if you’d like to learn more about a fun and engaging place to help raise your dog.
