Lola is an adorable little terrier mix. She is approximately one year old with all the energy of a puppy. She weighs 11.5 pounds, is crate-trained and house-trained.
She is affectionate and lives by the motto, “girls just wanna have fun”. She loves to chase balls and her plush toys. She’s up for any activity and/or stimulation you want to share with her. She enjoys walks but needs instruction on how to walk on a leash without pulling. Lola has a delicate trachea and pulling on the leash causes problems for her. As a matter of fact, she needs lots of instruction on basic doggy behavior and manners. She is a jumper and gets overly excited when she sees you. She has little impulse control and is always on the go. She’s an extremely active little girl. We will require that her adopters do formal obedience training with her to build her focus and confidence. Training will also strengthen the bond between Lola and her owners.
Don’t be fooled by how cute and cuddly Lola seems. She’s not your typical “toy” dog. She needs a home with younger, active adults. She is too frenetic to be around very young children. An older dog and/or experienced children should be fine. Lola is smart and very athletic. She’d make a wonderful performance dog with the proper training. A home with a fenced yard is preferred. A commitment to Lola’s well-being is a must.
