literally the reason I became an Errorless/ collaborative communication based trainer is because it is SO MUCH easier & faster to set my animals up for success instead of waiting to punish a wrong choice & redirect them to a correct one. If my learners (of any species) make a mistake, it is data, not an error (thus "errorless") that helps me adjust the arrangement to more accurately set them up for success. I end up with faster results, a deeper relationship, and way less frustration in my & my learners' life!

ps- I've done this with gorilla, leopards, chimps, bears, eagles, dogs, and a hundred other species... so yeah... collaborative communication works for every social animal. 🥰

Management means that Wyn does not associate with unknown dogs. And all my animals are always closely monitored when socializing with their animal friends, whether they intact or altered. This is our SOP whether she is in or out of estrus, such that she (and I) are-set upfon success and dont have to make any big changes (no solitary confinement nere!) while her body continues to develop.

Sometimes memories punch you right in the gut.
Two years ago these messages damn near brought me to tears cause I was so proud of Auggie & his mum. To go from a serious (code red) behavior modification case to navigating - and titling!!!- through a multitude of dog sports & trials *chef kiss*

Auggie Doggie will forever be celebrated here in the Inglenook and his legacy lives on as his story inspires other complex behavior cases on their bmod journey.

Love you forever and ever Auggie Doggie.
I cant wait for you to see what your mum does next with all we taught her 🥰

Bernie is here for Sleepover School and we're having a blast leveling up his training games!
Bernie is quickly learning to identify the Low Blood Sugar odor and I'm so proud of this Diabetes Alert Dog in training!

Oh Auggie Doggie.
Remy grew on you like a fungus.
Who could've imagined such a reserved, sensitive, gentleman would become boyfriends with the most cartoonish chaos aussie in the world.
I cant wait for you to see what your mum going to do with all the skills you (and I) taught her. It's gonna be phenomenal.

I'm not trying to be difficult... I'm so itchy and just trying to sneak in some scratching. But the supervisors (Wyn has been promoted) are on the job and not falling for my attempts to distract them with toys & playing with each other.
As a trainer I am very proud.
As someone covered in mosquito bites, I'm still very itchy. 😅
