Some mornings are not what you expect. Eleazar managed to cut his horn at the base during the night. It looks far worse than the tiny hole. Base horn wounds always bleed a lot.
While cleaning him up, Jodie the Goatie and kids decided to come inside the house and roam around, knocking things down and jumping on furniture. I got them back outside, released Eleazar back outside and sat down for a cup of coffee. I forgot to close the front door and the Turkey came inside the house as well.
Just another day on the farm.

I know I haven't posted/updated in a long time. Everything is okay, it's just been very hot here. Here is the update!
Jodie and her kids (Kaleb and Jenna) are doing well. Jodie is not the most attentive goat, but she has taught them to come inside through the dog door. 🤦
Glory and her kids, Eleazar and Mayim) are doing well. We banded both of them and they will be staying here.
Kurtis, my buck, has found a new home on another farm along with, Sharita and Avner(goats) and Jennie the donkey.
I also rehomed Golda, Leora and Ziva all goats. I reduced my herd to 10 goats.
I lost one of the male heritage bronze turkey due to an infection and have 6 left. I have lost 1 duck and 4 hens and had a white breasted turkey mamed to the coyote so far. However, I have trained my dogs and they are trying hard to keep the livestock safe. Haven't lost anything else in about 3 weeks.
Thanks for sticking with me.

This morning I found Blossom in the barn strianing and pushing. I watched her push out what I thought was her uterus. I snapped a photo and sent it to the Vet. He also thought it was a uterine prolapse. Somewhere between grabbing her horns to get her in a pen and the pen, the suspected prolapse disappeared (second picture) she is no longer straining or attempting to push. We now think she may have been expelling a deformed fetus. I have searched everywhere looking for this mass. With dogs, chickens and turkey, I am positive a gross indecency occurred. I am now left with a mystery of what happened and poor blossom.
Has any other person experienced anything similar to this?

Jodie the Goatie is pleased to announce the arrival of her two babies this afternoon. They are both alive and doing well. One boy and one girl.
Congratulations Jodie the Goatie!

Update: Dr. Brett couldn't feel a second baby. He gave her a shot of oxytocin, to help push out anything that might have been left. Gave her some antibiotics. He also determined that her baby had some deformities and most likely is why her birthing happened this way.

Blossom went into labor yesterday morning. Around 10pm I pulled her baby as it was breach and dead. A little girl. I gave her the rest of the night to deliver either a placenta or a second baby. Sadly that has not happened yet. We will most likely be doing a C-section to save Blossom.
Asking for prayers for Blossom.

Today I said good bye to Kurtis, Avner, Sharita and Jennie as they went to a new farm. Jennie needed a dry pen with shade and her new family has just that. They all went to the same farm so they have old friends and new friends.

We had a massacre occur last night. Sadly, a weasel was able to work its way into the chick enclosure and murder about half of the chicks.
The 11 remaining chicks have been moved back into the garage and two are inside with wounds.
Sometimes farming is sad and I feel terrible about losing the chicks.
No photos were taken of the massacre, because it was bad and I didn't want someone's child to happen across the post; see dead chicks, bloody and beheaded.
