Sometimes the biggest clues are the smallest changes.

Pets are incredibly good at hiding pain. Things like hesitating before jumping, slowing down on walks, hiding more than usual, changes in appetite, or simply not acting like themselves can be signs that something is bothering them.

During Animal Pain Awareness Month, we’re reminding pet parents to pay attention to those subtle changes. 👀 Early recognition can make a big difference in your pet’s comfort and quality of life.

We know the look. 👀 You know the look. 👀
The sad eyes. The dramatic sighs. The bumping into every piece of furniture.

Your pet may be convinced that wearing an e-collar is the worst thing that has ever happened to them—but that cone has an important job!

It only takes a few determined seconds of licking or chewing to undo stitches, reopen a wound, or delay healing.

So when your veterinary team says "Keep the cone on," we really do mean it—even when your pet gives you that face. 😂

Kittens may be small, but when something’s wrong, they can decline much faster than an adult cat. Knowing what to watch for can make all the difference.

🚨 Don’t ignore these signs:

🐾 Not eating or refusing food
🐾 Extreme lethargy or weakness
🐾 Repeated vomiting or diarrhea
🐾 Trouble breathing
🐾 Eye or nasal discharge
🐾 A sudden change in behavior or activity

Because of their small size and developing immune systems, something that seems minor can become serious quickly.

If your kitten just isn’t acting like themselves, trust your instincts and have them checked sooner rather than later. 💙
