Help wanted!

We’re looking for a dependable person to join our small boarding farm for weekend evening chores, (one weekday optional) and covering weekend mornings shifts on occasion.

Our barn is a quiet, low-drama environment with a small group of mostly retired horses and wonderful boarders. We take pride in providing consistent, quality care and are looking for someone who enjoys working with horses and shares that same commitment.

Because this position covers weekends, reliability is especially important. We’re hoping to find someone who is available most weekends throughout the year. If you anticipate needing frequent weekends off or extended vacation time, this position may not be the best fit, as dependable weekend coverage is our greatest need.

Horse experience is required, and attention to detail and a strong work ethic are a must.

Boarding opportunity for 2 horses at small private barn

Located in Warwick NY, Autumn Acres is a full care boarding facility. Quality customized care and a laid back, drama free barn are our biggest boasts. Horses have free choice hay year round, and enjoy turnout with a small group of friends. Owner/operator lives on property and is hands on with every horse.

Unique situation available where stalls are in a private paddock with daily turnout in a larger field. Could also be used for metabolic horses that cannot be on grass and are less active, or a horse that needs limited activity post injury.

Full care board is $850 (additional costs for medical board will be discussed on a case by case basis) and includes the following:
- 12x12 matted stall with shavings
-daily small group turnout with pasture grazing
-grain and free choice hay
-taking blankets or any fly gear provided by owner on/off
-minimum twice daily checks
-managing and holding for farrier/vet appointments
-administration of any medications or supplements provided by owner
-100x220 outdoor arena

Horses have free choice to 2nd cutting hay year round, and enjoy turnout with a small group of friends. The availible spot is in a field where the horses have 24/7 access to their stalls and turnout.
Owner/operator lives on property and is hands on with every horse.
