💚 Remembering Philly 🐾

Today, we pause to say goodbye and remember a very special girl, Philly.

Philly was rescued from a terrible situation by our very own Erica, and from there, she went on to touch so many lives. She had a special love for children and proudly served as our four-legged “patient” during our school tours for many years. She was always a wonderful part of helping young visitors learn about veterinary care and what it means to care for animals.

Philly had a way of making an impression on everyone she met. She was loved by our team, cherished by the children who visited us, and will always hold a special place in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Run free and keep smiling, sweet Philly. You were so loved. 🌈🐾💚

Please join all of us at Warrenville Grove Animal Hospital in giving a BIG welcome to our newest veterinarian, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐎𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐭! 🐶🐱

We are thrilled to have Dr. Ovitt joining our team and are excited for our clients and their four-legged family members to get to know her!

Dr. Ovitt is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned her DVM with highest honors in 2003. She brings more than 20 years of veterinary experience to WGAH, with special interests in dermatology, integrative medicine, infectious diseases, laser therapy, and client education. She has also worked in both shelter medicine and public health, giving her a wonderfully well-rounded background in veterinary medicine.

But there's more to Dr. Ovitt than her impressive veterinary experience! When she's not caring for her patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and exploring new places. She and her husband have three children and are also the proud owners of two adopted pups, Stella and Will. 🐾

We are so happy to welcome Dr. Ovitt to the WGAH family and feel very fortunate to have her experience, knowledge, and compassion become part of our team.

🎉 Exciting News from Warrenville Grove Animal Hospital! 🎉

We’re proud to celebrate 19 years of caring for this amazing community and your beloved pets! After nearly two decades, our hospital is ready for some well-deserved renovations. 🐾✨

Renovations will begin May 1st and are expected to last approximately 2 months.

Our goal is to maintain our regular hours and continue providing the gold-standard care you know and trust. During construction, there may be temporary adjustments depending on which areas of the hospital are being renovated, including:

• Occasional modified curbside service
• Alternate entrances and exits

Our team will communicate any necessary details when scheduling your appointment, and we’ll do everything possible to minimize inconvenience during this process.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our space for you and your pets. Thank you for trusting us with their care—we can’t wait to welcome you into our updated hospital soon! 💙🐶🐱

Today we are mourning the sudden loss of Officer Josh Perry, the City of Warrenville’s animal control officer. 🕯

Josh was an extraordinary person whose compassion for animals and people alike was evident in everything he did. He didn’t just do his job—he truly cared, and that care was felt by everyone who worked with him.

We had the privilege of working closely with Josh. He played an instrumental role in reuniting many lost pets with their families and collaborating with our doctors concerning injured pets. He was always our go-to person when help was needed—responsive, dependable, and always willing to step in without hesitation. His professionalism was matched only by his warmth, humor, and the genuine kindness he showed every day.

We will miss his stories, his infectious laugh, and the positivity he brought with him every time he walked through the door. Josh made a real difference in our community, and his loss is deeply felt.

Our hearts are with his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest In Peace, Josh — thank you for everything you did.
