Lil Buddy is waiting on his surgery answer … it would be both back legs which is unique. If approved, NC State will need to do the surgery with oversight. Hoping for an answer this week 🤞🤞In the meantime he is learning the treat ball and more manners.Glad he found his way to the sanctuary - we will do all we can!

We're filled with hope and anticipation as we await a review of Lil Buddy’s results that will determine if surgical intervention can bring relief and correction to his serious hind leg issues. His coat and mane/tail are thriving, and aside from the leg concerns, he's radiating health and vitality. The potential surgery is his “only option” and we're optimistic about a bright outcome. Lil Buddy has shown remarkable intelligence and has mastered several impressive learned tricks, and his favorite id finding treats on the golf cart (he learned that one by himself 😂).
Following a comprehensive evaluation of the operation involved by NC State, we will know if he is approved for the innovative surgical procedure on both his back legs. We'll provide a timely update. In the meantime, we're grateful for your thoughts, prayers, and positive energy for Lil Buddy and Neuse River Equine Hospital, specifically for approval and a successful outcome.
