Mustard is our KMUN, The Astorian, 949 The Bridge, and Classic Hits 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of October 19, 2026.

Meet Mustard, a spicy-sweet orange tabby who brings all the flavor without any of the bite. He has the classic bright orange coat, glowing amber-yellow eyes, and peak "ginger energy". Along with charming mix of lazy lap-cat and occasional 2:00 AM racetrack champion, he’s ready to squeeze into your heart. And just like the condiment, he needs to be a staple in your home.

10% discount applied to his adoption fee expires October 31st.

Meet Honey Girl! 🐾
Honey Girl is a beautiful 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix with 53 pounds of sweetness and charm. This affectionate girl is a bundle of joy who wants little more than to be adored, showered with attention, and given plenty of opportunities to play. She especially loves her toys and is always ready for a little fun. Honey Girl is also very smart, eager to learn, and a pleasure to walk on a leash.

Honey Girl loves playing with other dogs in the shelter’s playgroups, though she can sometimes be reactive toward other dogs while on leash when the chemistry isn't quite right. She also has a strong prey drive and gets very excited at the sight of deer or squirrels, so a home without cats or other small animals would likely be best. With her sweet nature, playful personality, and eagerness to please, Honey Girl has so much love to offer. Please consider stopping by the shelter for a visit to get to know this beautiful girl!

Pet Meet-and-Greets are by appointment. To meet Honey Girl or any of our available dogs or cats, please call the shelter at 503-861-7387 or stop by the lobby to schedule a visit.

Meet Tansy — a tiny tortie with the softest little soul. 🖤🧡

Tansy is about 1 year old and still settling into shelter life, but even after just a few days, she’s already showing us something special. This petite girl is a purr machine with gentle paws, a quiet presence, and the kind of sweet, searching gaze that makes you want to sit down beside her and tell her everything is going to be okay.

We have a feeling Tansy is going to truly come into her own once she feels safe. Behind those gorgeous tortie markings is a young cat who seems ready to become cuddly, loyal, personable, and deeply loved by the right family. Come meet Tansy at Clatsop County Animal Shelter and help this beautiful girl find the home where she can feel safe, loved, and finally settled.

Looking for a loyal companion? This beautiful Shepsky recently had her own photo shoot, and now she's looking for her perfect match.

Oakley bonds quickly with people she connects with, and once she feels comfortable, her true personality begins to shine.

Her ideal match is a patient, Shepherd- or Husky-experienced adopter who understands these breeds and their unique behaviors.

Meet Sully! 🐾
Sully is a handsome 1-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pitbull mix with a beautiful short tan and white coat and 58 pounds of youthful energy. This fun-loving guy can be a bit unruly when first leaving his kennel, but once he's had a chance to burn off some pent-up energy and decompress, he's a super sweet, goofy, affectionate boy looking for fun, love, and attention.

Although still working on his manners and leash skills, Sully is a quick learner who listens well, sits on a dime, and is highly treat-motivated. He can be reactive toward certain people and other dogs, so he'd likely do best as the only pet in a home with children 12 or older and someone willing to provide the patience, guidance, and exercise he needs. If you're looking for an energetic, fun-loving companion to share life's adventures, Sully might be just the guy you've been looking for. Please consider coming by the shelter for a visit to get to know this handsome boy.

Pet Meet-and-Greets are by appointment. To meet Sully or any of our available dogs or cats, please call the shelter at 503-861-7387 or stop by the lobby to schedule a visit.
