It’s Not Easy…
It’s not easy… whelping a litter.
It’s not easy watching things not go according to plan....
It's not easy experiencing the reality that sometimes life comes with loss...
It’s not easy trying with everything you have to bring a fading puppy back to life...
It's not easy stepping in and taking over mothering duties when a first-time mom is exhausted and probably a bit overwhelmed... 💔
It’s not easy tube feeding a puppy who doesn’t quite understand how to survive yet...
It's definitely not easy double-checking-- then triple-checking that the feeding tube went down the right hole while still half asleep at 2am...... trying desperately not to make a mistake that would cost a life.
It’s not easy... “playing God,” knowing that the moment you stop fighting for them… they may stop fighting too. 😞
There were moments where I truly wasn’t sure these puppies would make it. For a while, everyone was losing weight. Everyone was struggling. It felt like every few hours was another hurdle to climb.
But somehow… we’re finally starting to turn a corner. 🙏
Our little “Moo Cow Puppy” is finally attempting to nurse on his own. He’s still figuring it out... but he’s TRYING. And right now, trying is enough to make me kinda emotional. 😭💔
I am incredibly thankful I’ve been able to take time away from work to be here for them, because truthfully… I don’t think these babies would have made it otherwise. 😞
So with that…
