Meet this beautiful old soul Raven. She was rescued from a breeder by our awesome clients who didn't want her anymore because she's too old now. She just turned 9. You can tell she wasn't cared for too well, look at those nails & she tested positive for heartworm & had gone through the treatment. Despite all Raven's been through, she's a loving dog & loves people & all the attention she can get! Thank you Craig & Mary, you always take the under dogs & give them the best life they never knew!

Shame on me, I'm so late in posting these 2 adorable kittens 🙄 Meet Prince & his sister Penelope, she's not too thrilled at the moment in her picture of her new brother Prince. Prince hasn't been at his new home too long. But we're sure Penelope will get used to him & love as much as we do. Side note his momma takes better pictures of him than I do!

If you love pizza & kittens & cats, here's a good fundraiser to attend. Together We Save is a 503c shelter, not a rescue.
What we do is a lot of TNR, trapping, and take in surrenders. We are a small shelter that takes care of a lot cats/kittens!
If they were trapped they get fixed & returned to where they were trapped & if the kittens are young enough we socialize them the best we can with the time we have until a rescue takes them, but unfortunately not all kittens can turned into loving little fur balls, and have to be returned to where they were trapped, but a least we helped with stopping the overpopulation of kittens!
We We are all volunteers here, and we rely on donations for food, litter, medical needs, cleaning supplies, etc. Your donations are greatly needed & appreciated! So come out & help a great cause & feel good about helping stopping the overpopulation of kittens! Hope to see you there!

The Trump Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is investigating veterinary consolidation amid petflation costs.

The Trump FTC has issued Civil Investigative Demands (CIDs)—legally binding requests requiring companies to produce documents and information—to all parties involved in the proposed Covetrus-MWI Animal Health merger as part of an investigation into potential antitrust concerns.

If approved, the merger would reduce the number of major national veterinary distributors from three to two, with the combined Covetrus-MWI company controlling up to 75 percent of the market.

Local antitrust attorney Joel Thayer told the Daily Caller the merger would dramatically reshape the veterinary distribution market, arguing it would leave one company with overwhelming control over prices and terms.

“It’s looking more like it’s going from, instead of a 3 to 2, it’s looking like it’s going to a 2 to 1, where one company is going to basically dictate all the terms and prices for that type of veterinary service.”

Research from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) has also found that some pet owners have surrendered their animals because they could no longer afford or access necessary veterinary care.

Recent numbers also show that 22 percent of pet owners now carry more than $2,000 in pet-related debt, as the lifetime cost of owning a dog has climbed to roughly $35,000, with the cost of owning a cat not far behind, according to a Gallup poll.

It had been brought to our attention that some think Dr. Corn isn't working anymore. First of all if she ever plans to retire(and we all hope not 🥰) she would let everyone know. Dr. Corn Is out of the country doing her continuing education, that is why anyone who tries to get ahold of her, some get a weird message or none at all.
If you need to make an appointment, have meds to be filled or have any questions please call Sandy @ 248-990-6220, and I will help you to the best of my ability.
Dr. Corn will be back to work May 26th, due to her having surgery on a finger when she returns from her continuing education.
Thank you for your patience & understanding.

Check out this fiery chunk of adorable beast, at 11 weeks he's almost 30lbs! He's gonna be one ginormous goofball. Love that little black face paint and he's got four socks to match his sneaky mask. And he aced his physical exam like a total boss!
