Good Saturday mornin friends!
I was able to spend a few hours in the shop yesterday. My eyesight has improved enough to do some frame assembly without blowing staples through my fingers!!
My noggin is still somewhat of an echo chamber. Sharp noises make it ring. No pain, but a definite ring. Like nail guns, dogs barking, Elene hollerin at me.......
Kayla told me "No power tools!".
I didn't run any saws!!
Thanks again for all the prayers! It truly means a bunch!

I want to thank everyone for their continued support, thoughts, and prayers for my recovery!
I'm definitely feeling better everyday! Working on getting my energy levels back to where they were, and hoping my eyesight starts to clear up soon!! We're a month in, and I'm able to work at a much shorter than usual pace........
A huge thank you to the crew that showed up Saturday to help get a load of logs cut, split, and stacked! I certainly couldn't just sit and watch, and got hollered at numerous times as we worked together to get the job done! I've got the greatest friends anyone could ask for!
Not back in the saddle yet, but damn close to throwin a leg over!!!
Thank you again to all!

Somebody was nice enough to bring me a chair, but I never got a chance to sit, and I wouldn't have it any other way!!

Good Saturday mornin friends!
Dean here to give an update on what happened over the last week.
First we want let everyone know how grateful we are for outpouring of support, thoughts, prayers, and offers of help.
Eric Haslun , and Todd Del Marter got supers on the bees here in NY and Frankie Pridgen is taking care of the bees in NC. They were my biggest concern, and I guided Elene through a couple phone calls to the right people!
The love and support was felt at every turn and update.
Last Tuesday mornin I was struck by a brain bleed while getting ready for work.
The scariest and most painful thing I've ever had happen to me. Although I don't remember anything till waking Wednesday morning in the Albany Med, Zach came up to talk me into going in the ambulance.
This week has been full of monitoring, testing, and regulating pain. I'm also dealing with a severe case of double vision, which they say can take up to six weeks to fix itself......This doesn't make walking or texting easy, and driving an impossibility.
They kicked me out of the hospital Thursday, that night being one of the most uncomfortable with pain. There was a big improvement last night!
MRI and CTIscans show the bleeding has stopped and is slowly draining as it should. Now its a wait and see till things get back to normal .
As I mentioned, the outpouring of support was felt every minute. There were tears shed every evening in the hospital as the reports came in from of the messages from the day!
Ive got the greatest friends and family!!

Hey friends
My Papa used to make the best dandelion wine. Even as young boys we were allowed to take sips every once in a while.......
I searched through his many many journals, and there's no mention of his recipe, if he ever had one written down.
To the best of my knowledge, the mash included dandelion blooms, raisins, oranges, and yeast. It was allowed to sit in the corner of the dinning room in crocks during fermentation. We always knew it was "working" as the dinner plates that covered the the crocks would rattle as the concoction "burped", and Pa would smile!
Ive long wanted to carry on the tradition, but can not find a recipe with only these ingredients.
If you've got a favorite old school recipe, I'd enjoy making a batch this spring!
