Today, we attended a show in Murfreesboro, TN hosted by Music City RBA. We only carried 2 NZs.

For both Show A & C - Highway 64 Steve, Broken Red Intermediate Doe took BOB (leg). Highway 64 Faye, Red Senior Buck took BOV (no leg).

Steve got an honorable mention during Best of Show A. We had to leave before Best of Show C unfortunately.

Thank you Jim Leopard for trusting me with these rabbits. I look forward to breeding them and expanding my lines.

Today, we attended a show in Murfreesboro, TN hosted by Music City RBA. We only carried 2 NZs.

Well I ran out of frozen balloons, so I had to get bagged ice
I swear I didn't cross chickens into my rabbits but they scratch the ice around like chickens

Here at Highway 64 rabbitry, we have made a decision there will be no more selling of Juniors out of the barn, unless it's already been agreed upon before this post
This is to avoid any drama about the rabbits being culls
I will sell 6/8 that I'm showing if I have too many, or I will sell them at the end of the show season, the ones I don't keep for breeding stock

This is how I grade my rabbits

A equals my show team and maybe kept for breeding stock

B is on my show team but will not be a breeder in my barn
(Every breeder knows what their bucks will produce and you know some those will not pair up well with your bucks but will make a killer breeding doe for someone else)

A perfect example of this is that my senior Doe who won her class at Nationals I did not keep her to breed

C is for the freezer or for someone who wants to raise meat quality rabbits or pets

This post isn’t directed towards any one person, but if the shoe fits 🤷‍♂️ lace em up I reckon 😅. Some of yall show rabbit breeders are too advanced at your big ages to be acting like hormonal high schoolers 😬 with all the drama. It’s really simple: breed your rabbits, take the rabbits to shows, get your lil ribbon and photo taken, go home, mind ya business and repeat 🥴. They’re rabbits after all, not your 7 year old first born that plays travel ball that you are sure they’re gonna make the big leagues 😅. I’m fairly new to this and in my limited amount of experience, some people need to be hosts on The View so they can at least get paid to gossip 🤣.

Starting this coming weekend I have a show planned for 7 weekends in a row and the 2 weeks off then Convention trip

One of my Convention Bucks will be in the New Zealand Auction

Looking forward to showing in Reno
It's another state to add to the list of states I have shown in
