Animal Urgent Care

10/21/2026

We are celebrating Veterinary Technician Week at Animal Urgent Care! Doc likes everyone to be able to separate work and home, so she's using cartoon monsters this year to honor the staff. Feel free to guess who they are, but only they can tag themselves if they wish!

Our second monster is always on the move! She isn't just active, but busy busy. This monster has an extra thirst for knowledge and seems to have more than the 24 hours in the day everyone else is stuck with. She's also passionate about keeping your pets moving!

Our first monster this week loves fun scrub top patterns and sunflowers. She is a little obsessed with holiday decor and might be moonlighting at Hobby Lobby to support her addiction.

When it's time to help one of our dearest patients and friends' pet cross over and "Every rose has it's thorn" starts playing, even doc gets teary eyed.😭

We are still open this weekend (doc was hit in a minor car accident)..but she's moving a little slowly!

Low on staff, big on love.
Please call ahead to check capacity.

Please be advised that there will be a wait. We have one doctor and two nurses. We are a small mom and pop business. We are doing the best we can.

Urgent versus emergent:
The key difference is that emergent refers to a life-threatening or limb-threatening situation requiring immediate intervention, while urgent refers to a serious but non-life-threatening condition that requires attention within 24 to 48 hours.

Free services are causing more complaints than thank yous. Seeing my staff cry is not okay. This field has significantly elevated su***de rates for a reason. Primary contributing stressors are known to include experiencing harassment or intense pressure from pet owners, severe financial and emotional strain, and compassion fatigue from end-of-life care and heavy clinical workloads leading to burnout.
