🌹 The last ROSE & ZINNIA of summer are still blooming & waiting to be picked at Petsmart Huntington 💐
These almost identical twin tuxedos were rescued at 5 weeks old with their nursing Mom in a Valley Stream yard.
They went into loving Last Hope foster care with volunteer Kathy B....but they weren't adopted quickly. Perhaps because these sisters are a bonded pair.
ROSE & ZINNIA have been lingering in the Petsmart Huntington garden too long - almost 3 months.
Although the volunteers adore them, few visitors stop to soak up their sweetness.
These "flower girls" are losing hope of finding a loving home vase together.
Hopefully, ROSE & ZINNIA will be adopted before the first frost nips their buds .
You can help them if you share this post....

😔 'Subtle' & "sullen" did not work in SULLY posts , so let's try "subliminal" & the power of suggestion.
..
GAZE at SULLY. Watch him perk up his eyes & pick up one ear.
He has been overlooked so long & deserves a home of his own. 😊
🌞 SULLY is a sedate Shepherdy fellow about 8 years old.☀️
He is comfy with people, but not all dogs..SULLY is smart. He does well with puzzle toys, and he brings the volunteers toys that he wants them to throw so he can fetch.
SULLY would love a quiet
home where he will relish his bond with his peeeps.
From now on when you see SULLY photos or the real SULLY, thoughts will pop into your head, and you will realize...."Something, someone is missing from my life. I am on my way to ask SULLY what that missing part is......"

🐕 For some "sticks & stones" will break their bones. However, for dogs, especially Retrievers, sticks are best for a lending library.🐕
Would your dog like to go here??? Or would your dog prefer something else at the lending library like tennis balls?

🐕 Puppy ANN was spayed last week. There's a good chance she will only have to wear her "cone of shame" 2 more days after our veterinarian checks her stitches.🏡
Wouldn't it be great if she only had only a few more days to wait for an approved application so she can go home?
ANN is a 10-11 mon old Shepherd mix from a Georgia shelter. Her brother BILLY did go home.
She has puppy pep, and wants to please.
P-L-E-A-S-E visit ANN , especially if you are partial to Shepherds.

🎸 🎶 Last Hope Beatle kitten PAUL went to a lovely home on LI rather than back to Liverpool.🎶 🐈
PAUL was the last of the feline foursome to be adopted.
Our Beatle babies were rescued from a Rockville Centre yard when 6 weeks old.
He was fostered by volunteer Becki, and was recently adopted at 4 months old to a cat-savvy couple from Petsmart Huntington.
His new pet parents adopted our kitten MONTY in 2025. PAUL is now known as MILO.
Think....they will be M&Ms - How Sweet!

🐈‍⬛️ Meet BRANDI...She is not brand new to Last Hope. She came to us in August when a Good Samaritan found her alone inside a Brentwood building.💜
Why was she there? We will never know. But we do know this pretty tuxedo was 7 months old & friendly when rescued in August.
And we also know BRANDI would love a home where someone nice "tux" her in each evening.

🐶 Our BAILEY bedazzled patrons & donors at Island Trees Library on Saturday. 📚
👁 Keep in mind that BAILEY is scheduled for eye removal surgery this Wed because she needs to have a limbal melanoma tumor that has covered her cornea removed.
(Limbal melanoma tends to be benign in dogs)
This medical news doesn't stop her from being a gracious ambassadog with our Traveling Team.
🐕 BAILEY is a 5yr old Retriever mix still looking for a foster or Foster-to-Adopt home after her operation.
We would like her to be the only pet in that setting because she needs time to adapt to her lack of right side peripheral vision.
BAILEY was at the library to say hi & thank you to visitors , and to enjoy a day meeting new people.
💙 Ms. BAILEY appreciates that team members Dominick, Chloe, Margie, Lori, and Dan V escorted her & helped her show off.
Island Trees Library is a good friend to Last Hope. ❤️
