Friendly reminder to make sure your pet’s rabies vaccines are up to date!

And also don’t touch raccoons. If there are any hanging around acting oddly call your local wildlife rehabber for further guidance.

If you do come in physical contact with a raccoon (but seriously, let’s not do that) call your county health department without delay.

We recently enjoyed a staff outing at Color Me Mine in Webster. Highly recommended! (FYI if your group is smaller than 8 they allow walk ins too!).

We chatted, painted some pottery, and marveled over our good fortune of working with one another in a field that makes a difference. The people attending have been a part of Walworth Animal Hospital from 1 year to nearly 3 decades!

We’re so proud to serve our community, and love a chance to hang out outside the clinic from time to time. What other local group activities should we do for fun?

Walworth Animal Hospital will never attempt to sell or solicit anything involving money through social media. If you see any links please report them to Facebook as a scam to help protect this page. We do our best to watch out and delete them when we see them…but we are usually busy helping puppies like Riley (in the photo) get healthy! We’d hate to have to close down our page or comments- but we will do so if it means protecting our clients and friends from fraud.

Last week we celebrated the birthday of some very special puppies.

Walworth Animal Hospital sometimes fosters neonates for our local humane society and this bunch kept us (and nanny dog Lira) on our toes! We are fortunate that several of them got adopted locally and get to see each other as they grow.

The humane society of Wayne county can always use more help as they keep up the efforts to save the homeless dogs and cats in need. If you’re interested in volunteering there is a link on their website here https://waynehumane.org/

The next few days are going to be a little tricky!

Thankfully New Yorkers are pretty savvy when it comes to riding out winter storms, and we expect this time to be no different.

A friendly reminder that it’ll be too cold for walking the dog for a few days. And backyard potty breaks should be kept short and efficient.

Stay warm everyone! Routine outside fun is safest when temps are back over 20F ;)

We will have a half day on Wednesday New Year’s Eve and we will be closed all day Thursday Jan 1. Our regular hours will resume on Friday Jan 2nd.

Some of us will be celebrating a year of triumphs in 2025. Others will be making exciting plans and resolutions for 2026.

Our Walter will be doing a bit of both since he is equally entrenched in both the growth vs good boy phases of life. We love every cheeky bit of him!
