‼️ Ghost and Spectra NEED rescue! ‼️We are overcrowded and understaffed and it’s not fair that these babies (1 year old) sit in a concrete kennel, completely shut down. We have some wonderful volunteers that come and try to work with them but they need more. They deserve more. Can you save them?

𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘 - Intake photos are posted in an attempt to reunite pets with their families. Reclaims must be done in person. Strays must be held a minimum of 5 days before adoptions can be considered.
We are open 11-3 during the week and 11-2 on weekends.

We will be CLOSED to the public on Tuesday October 20th for Staff Development/Continuing Education. Animal Control will only take EMERGENCY calls this day. We will re-open on Wednesday October 21st.

Meet Jenny Sue!

Jenny Sue is a sweet, affectionate hound who loves being close to her people. Whether she’s following you around the house, curling up beside you on the couch, or getting excited for a little playtime, she’s happiest when she’s included in whatever you’re doing.

She’s got a playful side, but she’s also perfectly content spending a quiet afternoon snoozing while you work or relax. And once she gets comfortable with you, she’s not shy about asking for attention!

Here’s what you should know about Jenny Sue:

Dog-friendly:
Jenny Sue does well with other dogs! She’s naturally a little timid, so a confident canine companion could be a great match and help her continue building confidence.

Cat-friendly:
She’s good with cats, too!

House manners:
Jenny Sue is potty trained, sleeps through the night, and is making progress with crate training. Once she’s settled in her crate, she’s quiet and relaxed.

A few things she’s working on:
Jenny Sue is a hound, which means she occasionally has plenty to say! She can be vocal, so a quieter home outside of a busy apartment setting would likely suit her best. She also gets a little excited when greeting people and is learning to keep all four paws on the floor.

Jenny Sue has a gentle, loving personality, but she can take a little time to feel comfortable in new environments. We’re hoping to find her a patient family who will give her the space to settle in, continue building her confidence, and enjoy all the affection she has to offer.

She’s already got so much going for her, and with the right home, we think she’s going to make someone an incredible companion.

Hello 🐾 My name is Wendy and I’m scared. 💔 Animal control picked me up as a stray in August. They put me in this kennel, scared to death, and thought I’d come around after a little while. I’m still scared. I need a safe, quiet, loving home environment so I can decompress. I need a place where I can feel safe. There’s too much going on here and I just can’t handle it. Can you help me?

Every day, animals come through our doors needing more than just food and a safe place to stay. Some arrive with serious injuries, others need emergency veterinary care, and many require ongoing medical treatment before they’re healthy enough to find their forever homes.

Hey 🐾 DJ here and I need a place to crash STAT! 244 days in this OVERCROWDED shelter is taking its toll on me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful I was picked up by Animal Control and I’m grateful to be safe but I can’t take much more of this shelter life. I’m feeling defeated 😞
I love dogs and I love people….cats, not so much. 🐈🚫
Seriously, I have to get out of this place. I need a temporary foster home, a forever home or a rescue. Just come save me. Please 🙏

Hi 🐾 I’m Aria! Is it my turn to be loved? I’ve been waiting 174 DAYS for a family of my own. The staff and volunteers love me, and I’m great in playgroups with other dogs. I have so much love to give… I just need you to give me a chance. 🥹

Our shelter is seriously overcrowded, and my future is uncertain the longer I wait. I’m hoping a foster, my forever family, or a rescue who can help, is out there. Could you be my happy ending?
