Almost 30 years ago young KATZ went to purchase his first Leopard Gecko with birthday money. It was the start of something more than I could ever imagine. A few years went by before I got interested in breeding my gecko. So I acquired a female for my male. I missed the first clutch. The second clutch I set up in the incubator, a Styrofoam HovaBator to be exact. 60 long days but I finally hatched a baby leopard Gecko. I ran down the stairs of my parents house screaming and they thought it was a real emergency. It is a moment I'll never forget. I'm grateful my parents encouraged me. Fast forward I still have the passion. As many of you know my main focus is Carpet Pythons. I keep a few other things. 3 Ball Pythons, 2 Strophurus Ciliaris, and NOW 7 Leopard Geckos. Just hatched these two Leopard Geckos the first time in about two decades. Pretty neat to still feel the passion and get the buzz. I know they are "just" Leopard Geckos. And if you have a pair, it's hard not to get babies. "They are easy." But somewhere out there is a little boy or girl looking to purchase their FIRST ever reptile with their money or the help of their parents. Remember to be the fuel to their fire and passion, not the wind that blows out their flame. I'm glad that I still love what I do. How amazing to still have passion and desire for something over 3 decades. How fortunate I am.🦎
