Today, we were contacted by the owners of these two horses, who are frantically searching for their missing animals. They have taken steps to inform local authorities and have distributed flyers in the area. We kindly request that you share this information, in the hope that someone will recognize the horses and facilitate their safe return home.

Hello Mt. Diablo Trail Users!

There are so many of us who share the trails on our beautiful Mt Diablo including hikers, bikers and horseback riders! Some trails, as we know, are designated for use by either allowing or preventing certain usage , i.e., some trails have signage indicating they are not for bikes or horse use, etc. The risk to all parties can be quite high when folks are on the wrong trails, e.g., downhill bikers approaching hikers or horseback riders at a fast pace from behind. In addition, we occasionally have trail users who are simply not respectful of others or of the rules on Mt Diablo trails.

This brings us to the issue here: there simply are not enough rangers to track or prevent misuse or bad behavior so we want to remind all of you - bikers, hikers, riders - to please report any worrisome experiences you witness to this email:

[email protected]

Please provide details- where you were, what day and time, pictures of the area or incident would be very helpful.

Let’s keep our fantastic trails safe for everyone. Please put this email address in your phone right now and share this message with your friends!

Thank you,
❤️🐴❤️
