Friends of the Stokes Shelter Inc. We are a non-profit animal adoption center who receive all of our adoptable animals from the Stokes County Animal Shelter. Thank you!

We strive to educate and be a resource for our community as well as adopt animals into wonderful homes. Small group tours welcome by appointment only. Please call ahead to schedule a visit.

All his siblings have been adopted but he is still waiting patiently for his forever family. He’s a 4 month old male that loves playtime, is happy to curl up for cuddles and soak up all the attention he can get.

We know it is SUPER hot outside and chicken stew season isn’t on your radar BUT we are excited to have Darrell Calloway do our FIRST chicken stew fundraiser!!! If you are a fan of chicken stew, you know that he IS the man to make our stew. Pickup is October 10th. We will also be having an open house that same day. You can buy a few quarts for the freezer and eat a bowl at the animal adoption center. Pre order is required.
