For The Love of Cats Rescue and Adoption LOCRA is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no kill, foster & volunteer-based rescue out of Walled Lake, Mi. We are always in need of volunteers and donations.

Additionally, we educate the public on a variety of cat-related topics. We are foster-based, mea

ning all our rescued cats are housed in volunteer foster homes, where they are loved and cared for. We do not have a brick and mortar shelter, however, we do show our cats through space at our partner organization, PetSmart Commerce Township, located at 385 Haggerty Road, near 14 Mile Road.

🐾 Emo & Hipster Chick (Bonded Pair): Emo is a lively kitten known for ""singing"" cute tunes and turning into a total cuddle bug, while his inseparable sister Hipster Chick specializes in soaking up lap affection with her soft coat. They must be adopted together!

🐾 Lavern (Sibling): Living her best life after overcoming dental discomfort, this even-tempered girl excels at chasing stuffed toys and rubbing against your legs for yummy wet food.

🐾 Shirley (Sibling): This beautiful girl loves playing with family, master-level window-gazing at spring birds, and bringing a tiny pinch of playful sass to your days. (Lavern and Shirley can be adopted separately or together!)

***DONATIONS NEEDED***
This poor little guy named Wh**ey came to us with a severe ear infection, it was so badly infected it was bleeding! 😩 We immediately took him to the Vet where it was discovered he had a Polyp in his middle ear, as well as the horrible infection. 😔
This poor kitty was shaking his head violently, he was in so much pain.
After receiving a Steroid shot, an Antibiotic shot and Oti-pack (Anti-fungal gel) which is put directly into the ear, his infection is now cleared up. He is scheduled for his Polyp removal surgery on Thursday 6/11/26 at Wilson’s Veterinary Hospital. This is a VERY costly surgery but we feel Wh**ey deserves it, he is a sweet boy and he is only approximately 4 years old.

Looking for a new best friend to brighten your days? For Love of Cats Rescue and Adoption has a pawsatively awesome bunch of unbonded, single kitties ready to blossom in their forever homes! 🌿

Graison: Known for his world-class window-gazing, master-level cuddling, and his incredibly soft, relaxed personality. Even with FIV, he is completely gentle and ready to love!

Peatches: Celebrated for his goofy orange charm, his love for vocalizing his joy, and his playful spirit. After being found sick on a porch and nurtured back to health, he's ready to be your only-cat king!

Luna Nes: Known for her intelligent toy-tracking skills, her quiet and gentle nature, and her love for calm environments where she can be the center of your universe.

Razcal: Famous for being a delightful chatterbox, a handsome senior gentleman who adores being held, and an eager-to-please companion. Since he is front-declawed, he requires a safe, indoor-only retirement.

The flowers are blooming and our hearts are bursting! It’s a beautiful spring day to celebrate some incredible cats who have officially sprouted roots in their forever homes. Let’s give a massive round of applause to our recent For Love of Cats Rescue and Adoption alumni! 🎉

🌱 Ozcar & C.K. – Talk about a blooming romance! This dynamic duo went home together, bringing double the purrs and double the fun to their new family.
🍫🏝️ Snickers Havana – A sweet treat with a splash of tropical sunshine! This absolute darling completely melted the hearts of their new family.
☘️🍿 Kelley & Popkorn – This pair is popping with joy! Kelley brought the good luck, Popkorn brought the fun, and they happily headed home together.
