Mocha’s puppies are 2 weeks old today! 💛🤎
Their eyes are open, they are starting to hear better, and those tiny little legs are getting stronger every day. They are beginning to wobble around, discover their siblings, and show their sweet personalities.
They are also reaching the end of the neonatal stage, where newborn puppies mostly sleep and eat. Next comes the transitional stage, when they become more aware of the world around them and start learning new things every day.

Day 8: Most of Mocha’s puppies have already doubled their birth weight! 💛🤎

Growing fast, staying chunky, and keeping mama very busy (us too)!
Basket time for them and break time for Mocha.

Day 7: Mocha’s puppies are 1 week old today! 💛🤎

In just one short week they have already changed so much. They spend all days and nights eating, sleeping, and pooping, but they are also:
Growing very quickly
Crawling around using their front legs
Finding mama by smell and touch
Starting to get stronger every day

Their eyes and ears are still closed, so for now their world is all about warmth, milk, and cuddles with mama and siblings.

We have also started gentle Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) exercises. ENS is done during the first weeks of life and involves very short, carefully controlled activities that help support healthy development, confidence, stress tolerance, and resilience later in life. Our ENS exercises include:
Holding the puppy in different positions
Gentle tactile stimulation between the toes
Brief exposure to cool surfaces (cold scale and weighing)
Supporting them upright or on their backs for a few seconds
Each exercise lasts only a few seconds and is always done carefully, safely, and with lots of love. ❤️

Mocha is doing an amazing job with her 11 little potatoes!
