Now that it's Friday, what do you have planned for your dogs this weekend?

I'll be working real hard with Kya to get her to quit barking at every little noise she hears. With the cooler weather, the windows are open, so she can hear things...And it's causing problems...

Dex will be coming to a training session with me tomorrow. Maybe Kya as well. I don't do many Saturday sessions, especially in the summer, but there's some urgency in this situation.

Hopefully we'll be able to get a good hike in as well, along with training some fun things!

More exercise! Biking is a great way to build muscle and build up stamina. I want her to have good muscle tone to support her joints and ligaments. She's a very active dog and the better shape she's in, the less likely she is to get injured. Especially with dock diving.

She'll need stamina especially once we get back to hunting season. Now is the time to start building up for hunting. Not the end of August.

She does get to run full out, which is why I have the harness on, but I always pedal, so she's not doing all the work.

Also, I thought she was maybe ready to go without the backup leash, but due to a confused rabbit, she tried to kill or severely injure both of us. Luckily I had that leash on!!

Some fitness work with Dex. Working on keeping his shoulders, hips, thighs, back and core strong. This, along with swimming, trotting and walks is helping him get back into the shape he needs to be for off leash activities.

We really want to hunt this fall so I'm doing everything I can to keep heading down that path.

Who else works on fitness exercises with their dogs? Need tips? Let me know!

I have been inundated with calls and emails in the past couple days. I am very grateful! Please give me time to get back to you. I definitely will, but I do have a day job as well.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out the past couple days! I am working my way through the list and getting back to everyone as quickly as I can.

As I am booking into July, I cannot tentatively hold spots. I need to keep days open for current clients to book follow up sessions and new clients for first sessions. So the sooner we book, the sooner I can get through my list.

I've been working with Kya on her sit and stay on the dock. WITH a ball in my hand. That's key, because without the ball, she'd ace this no problem. I'd like to get closer to the end of the dock, but I'll build off this for now.

Did she stay until I was ready? Watch, and see what you think!
