❤️ SHE DESERVES A CHANCE TO STAND ON HER OWN FOUR FEET ❤️

This tiny little girl came to us with something we have rarely seen.

Both of her front legs are severely malformed at the elbows. Her bones simply do not come together to form normal, stable elbow joints. Her legs can be positioned where they belong, but they will not stay there. They collapse, leaving this precious baby trying to walk on legs that cannot properly support her and yet… she tries. She plays. She wants to follow you. She wants to be a puppy.

We are not ready to give up on her.
Our next step is to get her in front of a veterinary orthopedic specialist. One possibility we want to discuss is whether her legs could be surgically stabilized or fused into a functional position, essentially sacrificing movement at the abnormal elbows in hopes of giving her stable front legs to stand and walk on. 😭

We don’t know yet if that can be done.
But we have to find out.

Because this affects BOTH front legs, there is no simple answer like amputating one bad limb and allowing the others to compensate. Whatever we do has to give this tiny girl a realistic chance at mobility and a comfortable life.

Specialty consultations, advanced imaging and orthopedic surgery will not be inexpensive. Rescue Rehome Repeat receives no state or Parish funding. When a baby like this comes through our doors, we can only say yes because people like you help us say it.

💔 SHE IS ONLY A YEAR AND A HALF OLD… AND HER ENTIRE BODY IS SUFFERING. 💔

Lost? Unlikely. Chipped? No.
Dumpped? WE SAY ,YES!
Suffering? ABSOLUTELY

This sweet girl came to us in horrible condition. At just one and a half years old, she has severe hair loss, raw and inflamed skin, pr*****ed nictitans gland (cherry eyes) that will require surgery, hip dysplasia, and of course, even though she's very young, she already has developed , heartworm disease.

From the very front of her body to the very back, she needs extensive medical treatment.

She will require heartworm treatment, eye surgery, orthopedic care, medications, veterinary rechecks, and weeks of recovery. We are looking at thousands of dollars to give this young girl the relief and healthy future she deserves.

She has clearly suffered for far too long....but her suffering can stop here.

Rescue Rehome Repeat is not funded by the state or Parish. We rely entirely on our supporters to help us say yes to dogs like her when they have nowhere else to turn.

As a pediatric Rescue, we don't get a lot of requests for us to take adult dogs like this… So we need your help ❤️‍🩹🙏
