Brag post!
Rex (GSD) and Pete (Pittie) came to me a few months ago with one goal: peaceful coexistence in the house.
The dogs had met before and had an EXPLOSIVE meeting, and have been living separately for years since. Though Pete + Rex’s owners had done over a dozen lessons with another trainer, they were nowhere near closer to their goal - the dogs still couldn’t be in the same room together without reactions. But last year, the dogs were officially moving in together - so we had to find a way to make it work.
Stories like these cannot have a good outcome without exceptional, devoted dog owners at the heart of it. Pete and Rex’s parents have gone through months of training, helping Pete through lots of big emotions and celebrating every little win along the way.
Today, these two dignified boys take walks together, run in the yard together, and live together each and every day. There will always be management in place to help them stay successful, but they are making HUGE strides all the time.
I’m so proud of these two dogs and their people!
