Tonight is about more than just a sale. It’s about supporting our kids!

As we prepare for tonight’s Junior Livestock Auction, we encourage everyone to remember what goes into raising these animals long before they ever enter the show ring.

Months of early mornings, late nights, feeding, cleaning, training, and caring for their projects. These kids have invested countless hours, and their families have invested a significant amount financially as well.

And those expenses continue to change. For perspective, USDA figures show soybean meal, a major ingredient in livestock feed, increased approximately 6.5% from October 2025 to August 2026.

With rising costs come valuable lessons. These young exhibitors are learning how to budget, manage expenses, make financial decisions, and adapt to changing costs. They’re gaining firsthand experience in the financial responsibilities of agriculture, lessons that will stay with them long after fair week is over.

Behind every animal is a young person learning responsibility, dedication, patience, and the value of hard work.

When you support a Junior Fair exhibitor, you’re investing in so much more than livestock. You’re investing in the future of agriculture and the next generation of our community.

Join us tonight at 5:30 PM for the Junior Livestock Auction at the 175th Coshocton County Fair.

Let’s show these kids just how proud we are of them!

Fall born lambing is nearly here, and now's the time to be thinking ahead about what creep feed to utilize!

🍒 CHERRY KRAVE 🍒 is our pelleted creep option - This is a great option to get lambs started on creep earlier.

💡 Many times we'll see people off both 🍒 CHERRY KRAVE 🍒 + our POWER TAKEOFF textured feed in creeps for best results.
