Yesterday (Thursday) was the most beautiful day!!
We Welcomed Georgia- a Maltese/Poodle- here for day care and to get comfortable here before a big stay after the beginning of the year. Freddie is here for another week of Puppy Training, Kilo leaves today after a Month+ of Long-Term boarding/refresher training, Aspen is finishing her basic-training camp this week, Lake joined us for two days while his house is being prepped by a realtor, Marley of course , Winnie (training alumni) and Chipper! A new Boarding client- not often we get Dachshunds but he’s pretty cool!
We hope you have a great day!

I’ve fallen in love with this groomer and find myself watching her often. She does a splendid job of breaking down the different stressors the dogs are experiencing and the different and creative* tools you have to use to get these grooms done in a safe manner.

Kudos for her putting this very educational content out so the average pet owner can see what all goes into the handling of the dogs- especially for grooming.

Here you see Aspen, an adolescent puppy with us for two week training camp. She is a horse Trainer’s dog, so it is very important that she has good manners around all of the equines and understand the flow of how a barn works. Aspen has had to learn how to be comfortable staying on her place while trainer Ciara comes in and out of sight often as she is performing her stall cleaning duties. This is a scenario that Aspen will see very often so it’s important to practice in that same environment. Way to go Aspen we are so proud of you..👏 😊

Some dogs can tell there’s a storm rollin in (), and some are clearly unfazed. We are ready for a wet weekend ☔️, and night ahead 😊 (Loki & Vega going out next) Stay dry out there everyone!

Happy Monday from our newly formed “gen pop” this afternoon since we had several pups go home today. We’ve got Maui!, Chaga, Yonah & Tallulah , Marley, Charlie, Kilo , Kirby (new boarding pup!) and Aspen arrived yesterday for her Basic Puppy Training Camp! The youngsters are learning who is willing to play with their shenanigans… and who is saying “bug off youngster!! Don’t be rude!” Everyone other than Kirby and Aspen are alumni and we know their personalities well and how they driver fair communication to the other dogs. After all… they are dogs, and speak their language way better than English, but I’m here as the coach just in case.

When I’m waiting for my coffee to steep, and I hear a ruckus outside…. I go and investigate. Slowly open the door without it creaking and sneak the video as to not disturb their fun. It was the crazy first group out for their first let out this morning at 6 AM. Kilo-Penny-Bear-River just having a blast. Marley/Lucky normally are in on it too- but they apparently need their coffee this am. 🤣 Happy Friday.
