My name is Faith, and I need to tell you the saddest story my little heart has ever known.
This past winter, my friend and I were abandoned in the freezing cold by people we trusted. We were left alone to survive during the harshest weather I have ever felt in my short life. My friend was struck by a car, and suddenly I was all alone…terrified, hungry, and heartbroken. I stopped trusting humans. Every time someone came near me, I ran. I didn’t understand why we had been thrown away like we didn’t matter. For weeks, I searched for food, warmth, and safety while the cold slowly took everything from me. After three long weeks, kind humans finally rescued me. I kept running from them because I didn’t realize not everyone was unkind – there were 15 people trying to save me. They gave me a warm place to rest, food in my belly, and love I thought I would never feel again. I was so skinny and sick that no one even realized I was carrying a baby. This morning, I gave birth to my tiny baby…but my baby was stillborn. My heart is shattered. I wanted so badly to be a mama. I wanted my baby to know warmth, safety, and love – things I never had. Instead, all I can do is cry for the little life I could not save.
Please…I am begging you. If you or someone you know can no longer care for an animal, don’t dump them and walk away. Please find a rescue, a sanctuary, or someone who will help. No animal deserves to suffer the way I did. No baby deserves to be lost because of neglect.

Hi Everyone,

I am a 20-year-old thoroughbred mare currently living in Virginia. Before being rescued, I endured significant hardship – I am emaciated, with cuts, bite marks, and lasting scars from a poorly fitted saddle. Lucky for me, the farm in Virginia saw how dire my situation was and offered me a second chance.

Even though I am okay for the time being, I am scared. Horses like me are often overlooked and sent to be slaughtered. My friend Kristina is determined to not let this happen to me!

Kristina and Saddle Brook Farm Animal Rescue in New York have stepped up to help me. Kristina has been working with the rescue for a really long time and has helped in rescuing so many horses. Now she wants to help me, but she needs help! It costs a lot to relocate me – gas for the truck, renting a trailer, veterinary care, and dental care. Kristina will also have extra expenses like feed and hay and specialty care to get me back to health.

To start this wonderful new life, I am asking that you help me and Kristina with financial support. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward my care and transportation. If you can’t help with a financial donation, sharing this with your friends helps too. This is my last chance!
