We require a mandatory evaluation for all new dogs before booking any training or boarding stays.

• Duration: Minimum of four hours.
• Purpose: To ensure our kennel environment is a safe, happy fit for your dog.
• Cost: There is no charge to bring your dog for a boarding or training evaluation.

What We Observe
• Socialization: Reaction to other dogs and handlers.
• Environment: Comfort level in our outdoor runs.
• Confinement: Behavior and stress levels while crated.
• Assessment: Tailored recommendations for training stay lengths.

Why We Do It
Not every dog thrives in a kennel setting. Some dogs experience severe separation anxiety being away from home. This evaluation helps us prevent high stress and ensures we only accept dogs who will truly benefit from our care. Giving a dog "grace" during an evaluation - we understand that a strange environment, new smells, and unfamiliar people can make even the most confident dog shut down or act out of character. In some cases we may ask that your dog come for a trial overnight boarding so staff can monitor if your dog eats regularly, sleeps comfortably, or displays severe stress signs like excessive barking, withdrawal, or destructive chewing.
