AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Ripley, 5 yr old SPAYED female tabby, tested and vaccinated, has been an indoor only cat livuing with another cat, but they were not friends. It appears that Ripley would do best in a quiet and only pet home. She is overwhelmed with shelter smells and sounds, but she is enjoying a room of her own and is enjoying not being bullying by another cat. AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Twins, Lila and Twila, 7 month old female Guinea Pigs. This is a pair of cuties. They squee for their salads, eat well, and have come a LONG way since they arrive in the beginning of March. Lately, around 230/3pm, they have the zoomies. They always tell me that no one fed them!! AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: ChiChi, 11 month old female Cane Corso, black brindle, knows some basic commands, canned food does not agree with her. She needs to be properly introduced to new place, things, and people. Once she gets to know you, she is a lively oversized puppy. She is beautiful. AVAILABLE FOR AOPTION: 5 year French Bulldog, Pitbull type mix NEUTERED male named WILBUR is a gentle guy who waddles and snorts his way through the day. He has not shown any aggression whatsoever. He has been through a lot. When he arrived his skin and feet were in rough shape. The pads of his feet were bleeding, his skin was flakey, and he had a nasty urinary track infection. Since his arrival, he has tested negative for Heartworm and Lyme Disease, Anaplasmosis, and Ehrlicia. He was given his Distemper and Rabies vaccinations. He has been on antibiotics, pain meds, and he has been neutered. His ears? Oh my, they add to his goofiness. They are sort of lopsided. He snorts and grunts like a BullDog, barks like a French Bull dog, waddles like a bulldog, and may have a bit of Pitbull Terrier thrown in for good measure. He is in need of understanding, patience, and a little work in learning what a good home, struture, and safety are all about. Since he is such a snorty dog, his new owner must pay attention to his exposure to heat and protect him from over heating. He is very gentle. He waddles past every dog at the shelter and never even raises his hair at them. It is more like, "oh hey, how you doin'? Waddle, waddle, waddle, I smell my breakfast, bah-bye. There are times when people make comments about an animal being adopted out without being neutered. As you can see, this sweet guy came into the shelter in rough shape! He was at the shelter receiving treatment when a couple saw his post and stepped up. They realized that he would need extra. Take a hard look at his skin and coat in that first photo the day that he arrive and then take a look at him the day that he was neutered. His health and skin were finally at a level that showed the vet that he was ready for the next step. This is one of the reasons that a shelter might adopt out a dog that has not been spayed or neutered. He is so danged handsome!!!
