Golden light, salty air, and a shoreline full of wagging tails — today was everything a Labrador was made for.

Our Lab puppies are spending the day doing what they love most… running free, splashing through the Chesapeake Bay, and staying close to their people every step of the way. From confident little explorers charging into the water to the cuddly moments in the sand, each pup continues to show the incredible temperament, loyalty, and joy that makes this breed so special.

Happy 1st Birthday to our absolutely amazing Coastal Cotton 🤍🐾
One year ago, this beautiful soul entered the world — and today he stands on the edge of leaving an indelible mark on the future of our Blue Ridge Lane legacy.
Cotton is everything we dreamed of and more. His favorite things?
Cuddling close like he was born to comfort.
Car rides with his head held high and eyes on the horizon.
Patiently teaching our started pups how to be confident, calm, and correct.
When the Labrador Retriever was developed in the 1830s in the United Kingdom from St. John’s water dogs imported from Newfoundland — and officially recognized by The Kennel Club in 1903 — the vision was clear: a dog of heart, loyalty, intelligence, athleticism, and unmatched retrieving instinct. Coastal Cotton embodies that vision.

He carries the grit, drive, and natural retrieving ability that built the breed — paired with the steady temperament and affectionate heart that make Labradors the most beloved companions in the world. His structure, movement, and presence remind us what the early dreamers of this breed had in mind.
