SEPTEMBER 11 — NEVER FORGET
🇺🇸 Today we honor the fallen, the survivors, the families, the human heroes, and the canine heroes. 🇺🇸🐾
Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation.
We remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost and the families who have carried that loss every day since.
We honor the survivors, whose lives were forever changed.
We honor the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, military members, first responders, and ordinary Americans who ran toward danger when every instinct told them to run away.
And we remember the incredible four-legged heroes of 9/11—the search-and-rescue, detection, therapy, and recovery dogs who worked tirelessly alongside their human partners at Ground Zero, the Pentagon, and beyond. 🐾🇺🇸
They searched through unimaginable devastation. They brought hope to families waiting for answers. They comforted exhausted rescuers. They served simply because that was what they were trained—and willing—to do.
May we also remember what followed that terrible day: Americans standing together, helping strangers, flying our flag, supporting our first responders, and reminding the world that even in our darkest hours, courage and compassion endure.
We will remember their names.
We will remember their sacrifice.
We will remember their courage.
