Despite some humans letting him down, Popcorn learned to trust again. Update: Popcorn has found his "furever home". He moved to Independence, Oregon in November. He did very well flying in a plane to get there. He has a new pack that includes Mazie a beautiful rescue from Hawaii and a Jack the Cat that was also adopted from the same center has Mazie. is little guy has stolen the hearts of everyone that has met him. Known to all in his Wake Village neighborhood, sadly because of neglectful custodians that allowed him to ran the streets and often, reportedly did not feed Popcorn on a regular basis. Popcorn was discovered with another dog to have been abandoned when his "owners" moved out. Popcorn is currently living with a foster family pack and is being prepared for a new home and life. He was immediately given a bath, all his shots, dewormed and treated for fleas. Sadly, it was determined that Popcorn has heart-worms, but his case is mild. The Vet feels he is a candidate for fast treatment. Thanks to some wonderful heroes and the Vet discounting the treatment cost, Popcorn will soon be heart-worm free and ready for a new home. Popcorn is estimated to be about 6 years old and that means a dog his size has many joyful years of love to give. He gets along with dogs, cats and even turtles! He has a wonderful low-key energy and great temperament. Making him an ideal fit for just about any family setting. He has adjusted quickly and very well to his new environment. Popcorn is housebroken and is able to alert you to when he needs to go outside. He's had not accidents despite having spent most of his life outside. If you are interested in Popcorn, you can follow his journey on this page. Over the next few weeks, we will be noting any interested parties. He will be ready for adoption as soon as he is negative for heart-worms. He will come current on all shots and a new bed and a bag of dog food. Thank you for your interest in Popcorn. We are so glad he is willing to give us humans a second chance!
