This is one of the hardest things Iāve ever had to write.š
This morning. I said goodbye to my best friend: Sancho, Sanchi Manchi, Sancharito, The Sanch, Bad M***a Fluffa, and my personal fav burrito.
We spent the past day and half celebrating Big Fluff.
There were smiles through tears, extra treats, extra hugs, and a whole lot of love. We made memories, soaked up every moment, and reminded him just how deeply he is loved.
Many of you know Sanchoās journey. He isnāt just a good pupāheās The Original Good Pup. Heās my heart, and heās the reason The Good Pup Dog Grooming Studio exists. Everything Iāve built started with him.
For years, weāve battled epilepsy togetherāadjusting medications, celebrating every seizure-free day, and getting through every setback side by side. Through it all, he remained the happiest, most loving soul. Lately, though, his body has been telling us itās tired. Between epilepsy, arthritis, and spinal disease, the things that once came so easily have become a struggle.
After countless conversations, research, tears, and prayers, Iāve made the most difficult decision of my life.
Iām choosing comfort over pain. Iām choosing dignity over suffering. And although my heart is breaking, I know this is the last act of love I can give him.
Sancho gave me more than I could ever give back. He gave me purpose. He gave me courage. He gave me The Good Pup. Most of all, he showed me what unconditional love looks like.
Thank you to everyone who has loved him, prayed for him, followed his journey, and celebrated him with us over the years.Hug your pups a little tighter today, they never stay with us long enough.
Thank you for everything, my sweet boy. You will always be My Good Pup. ā¤ļø
