Meet Frankie!
Looking for the right home for this sweet little lady.
Frankie recently entered our life unexpectedly. She has been through several homes, and we are committed to finding her a calm, stable environment where she can finally settle and feel safe. She is a very emotionally intuitive dog and seems happiest as a one-on-one companion rather than a family pet.
A few important things to know:
• she has ongoing allergies that require regular vet care (cytopoint shots every few months, attention to allergy symptoms, supplements to support skin health and manage allergy symptoms, her allergen is unknown)
• she has a benign tumor on her underside that currently does not bother her and does not require vet care
• unsure if she is spayed
• she is due for her annual exam and a Rabies vaccination
• she does like not vet appointments and requires a muzzle per vet note
Her records read:
DOB: 8/29/2016 (9y 8m)
Gender: Female
Weight: 24 lb
Breed: Mixed
We are only rehoming her because we have two small children that seem to easily overstimulate Frankie.
Some things we have noticed:
• she has energy and wants to PLAY :) (tug of war, fetch, chewing on a stuffy/squeaker)
• she does not protest to being held, snuggled, bathed, etc.
• she barks when a new person enters the home or is startled by a loud noise (nothing excessive)
• she is kennel trained and she loves to make the perfect little bed for herself
• she is potty trained
• she does not scratch or bite on furniture
• she accepts food by hand and is extremely gentle (she will carefully accept food from my 1 year old)
• she responds well to verbal directions
• she is a lap dog who loves to get pet (she will whine if she feels you aren't petting her enough)
• she loves a car ride
• she is resistant to getting her teeth brushed, unsure of getting her nails clipped
• she likes our children; however, she does not like when our 4 year old expresses his 4 year old energy nor does she like it when our 1 year old invades her personal space - she bars her teeth and nips - not an official bite or this dog would not be in our home anymore
I am trying my best to be transparent and possibly overly so, because Frankie deserves a real home where she can stay full time. To my knowledge she has been passed from home to home to home due to the lack of commitment to her allergy care.
Frankie will come with a collar, leash, nail clipper, toothbrush/paste, kennel/blankets, supplements, food, food dish, treats, toys and her medical records. Please reach out to me if you are interested in Frankie. I'm happy to answer any questions. Emily 720-419-8143. Located in Moorhead. No rehoming fee.
