To improve the quality of life for companion animals, to place homeless cats and dogs in suitable homes, and to provide programs to reduce the overpopulation and euthanasia of companion animals. Adoption Statement
The Humane Society of Richland - Wilkin Counties (HSRWC) reserves the right to decline adoption of any animal for any reason if it feels that the home will not be a good match. P

lease understand that by answering questions and filling out adoption forms does not guarantee the adoption of the pet, nor are you obligated to adopt the pet. We adopt to homes that are the best fit for our animals' needs and not on a first-come/first-serve basis. Company Overview
We shelter and care for homeless animals in the Richland-Wilkin county area with hopes of finding them new homes through foster care or adoption. Directions
We are located to the west of the Dakota Vet Clinic and the bowling alley is down the road from us. We hold monthly meetings the third Tuesday of every month at 7 PM at our humane society :)

It's Feline Friday and let me introduce you to Oswald. Oswald is timid, he is very cautious around his new surroundings but is coming out of his shell. He seems to be okay with other cats with a slow introduction. Oswald loves pets, and be prepared for some drool when you're loving on him. We've been busy these last couple weeks getting the back outside dog area prepared to get its make over. We will be doing renovations through the month so we will not be accepting any new dogs until everything is finished. Please be patient with us so we have a better area and safer kennels for all of our furry friends!
