Hi everyone, I'm Otto.
I'm a handsome freckle nosed orange neutered make who is 11 1/2 years old, and I'm looking for a quiet place to call home.
My person recently had to move into a nursing home and is now in hospice, so she can no longer take care of me. It's been a hard change for both of us, and we're both heartbroken.
I'm a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being petted. You can pet me just about anywhere, and every once in a while I'll even let you rub my belly. I'm well-mannered too. I don't jump on counters or scratch the furniture.
I'm diabetic, but please don't let that scare you. My diabetes is very well controlled with food alone. My mom always gave me Fancy Feast Seafood Pâté, so I do not even need insulin or regular blood sugar checks.
I'd be happiest in a quiet home where I can be your one and only pet. I'm not sure how I feel about other cats, especially younger ones, so I'd really love a peaceful home where I can spend my days by your side, purring away.
If you have room in your heart for a gentle senior boy who has lost everything through no fault of his own, I'd love the chance to spend my golden years with you.
If I cannot find a permanent home, I will need a foster home because Cats Cradle is a colony style shelter and they know I wouldn’t be happy in a cage. Please…if you can, would you help me get over the grief of losing my home and my mom?
