Let's talk about things you did NOT know before owning a dog....

For me...gosh, SO MANY THINGS.

In my early dog ownership, I thought ALL dogs got along. I thought all dogs acted with intention, like chewing up things to be naughty. I thought all dogs LOVED dog parks. I thought all dogs automatically knew how to walk on a leash.

I mean...seriously....

What does Waco Pets Alive! do for McLennan County?

Waco Pets Alive! is filling a gap in our community by *exclusively* rescuing Urgent Animals from the Waco shelter.

By recruiting and training the best fosters in the Greater Waco area, we have an army ready to save dogs and cats
who find themselves at most risk in our Waco shelter.

Waco Pets Alive! also focuses on assisting local citizens with their pet-related needs. Helping to keep pets together with the people who love them is the fundamental goal of our McHASS program (McLennan County Human Animal Support Services).

Let's save some Waco shelter pets!!

Not a pleasant topic but, IT HAPPENS! ;)
Let's talk p**per scoopers. As someone who has picked up a lot of years worth of p**ps, there is a preference of scooper. They are not all the same.

I encourage folks to avoid the small and plastic types. This job is for the tough ;)

Go for the heavy duty pan and the hoe type scoop INSTEAD of the rake.
Rakes create twice as much work...and for a job you want to get done FAST...get the hoe component.
