So, who's your Buddy? (A108276)

This is YOUR Buddy! This is a handsome, fun-loving boy that'll be by your side through and through! Seriously! This is ONE FANTASTIC dog! He's outgoing, playful, and just a great all around boy!

Buddy does buddy things. He's a loving, be right be your side kind of a guy! Cuddles are one of favorite past times, and he's wouldn't object to lap time, either! While this guy is an expert in the snuggle department, he's also pretty darn good where manners are concerned!

He walks amazing on a leash. He knows how to sit when asked, and treats? Give him a few, and he's extremely gentle when accepting them, with a tail wag as a thank you!

Isn't she breathtaking? Isn't she stunning?

She's all the above and more! Meet the lovely Dixie! (A108658) She is a tall, fluff ball, with mesmerizing eyes! As you can imagine, anywhere Dixie goes, heads turn!

Dixie is a bit shy. She's not sure how she ended up living in a kennel, and she's not sure how she feels about it. Therefore, everything going on with Dixie has been gradual. That includes meeting new people. Introductions have to be slow and methodical. She does relax enough to offer a few demure kisses, which shows she's becoming a bit more accustomed to shelter life.

Dixie walks amazingly on a leash and seems to enjoy a trip around the grounds. Dixie hasn't been dog tested as of yet, though she doesn't show any reactions when passing them. Still, she may need to be an only child. She does have quirks, and she will need an experienced owner that understands her.

Zack and Jim's Waco 100 Pet of the Week is Breanna!

Breanna is the CUTEST mid-sized tot at the shelter, and you're going to FALL in love with her!

This lady is beyond adorable. She is full of personality and does it ever shine once she's out of her kennel! Her smiles are the real deal, folks! She enjoys her playtime, but she'll sit in your lap and let you love on her all day if that's your thing! She's quite flexible!

Breanna probably could use a little leash work, but practice always makes perfect, so she'll get it in no time at all! She can sit when asked, and she'd love to learn more! Training would be fun for this smart girl!

Commodore may not be an officer, but this special boy will be high ranking in your heart!

This sweet boy is a cutie and a half. He has the charm to go with his adorable looks! He has a silly side and he’s a blast to be around!
Commodore walks fine on a leash and already knows a command or two. He’ll make it easy to transition from shelter life to YOUR home! He's fine on a leash and he is a member of the gentle/dainty playgroup - so other dogs are fine with him!

Commodore is opinionated and doesn’t mind sharing his thoughts with you or anyone who wants to listen! It’s quite comical to hear his side, but it’s interesting too!

His opinion of living in a kennel is clear - he doesn’t love it! He’d prefer to be living with a family if his own!

Good day from Bob!(A108572) Actually, meeting Bob will make sure your day is a good one! He's a super intelligent boy who is still a pup, but could teach the big dogs a thing or two!

Bob's thing is fetch. He will chase a toy all day! You only have to have the arm to throw it and he'll return it to you without hesitation. That's his thing! But Bob is more than a retriever! He knows how to sit and he's got some leash skills that are worth mentioning.

Bob has a lot of things going for him. He's a pal and your friend. Meeting and greeting new folks is kinda cool to Bob, and he wouldn't mind assisting you when guests come to call!

Fun guy James (A106335) participated in the shelter's foster in place program and is now back on the adoption floor, ready to find his forever home!

James is a staff and volunteer favorite. He loves to give folks that pass by his kennel his famous "side eye" (you have to see to believe!) acting like he's warning you away! Don't buy it! James is a fun-loving, silly boy. He enjoys playtime, belly rubs and just being someone's best friend.

James is a talker. The better time he's having the more vocal he becomes, therefore, he needs a family with a sense of humor. He didn't receive a lot of playgroup time during his foster in place period, so he's being re-acclimated into the gentle/dainty group and doing well!

Who loves the labs? If you're a lover of a labby, then you're going to do back flips for Flipper! (A108279)

Flipper is true to lab form. He's friendly, intelligent, and eager to see what's going on around him. He has a "leap for joy" attitude about everything in life. He's happy to see you, he's happy to go with you, and he's well...just happy.

Flipper is decent on a leash and believes going for daily walks is a fine idea. The more he can see and sniff the better. He understands sit when told - with a treat as a reward, and he's going to be one of those dogs that absorbs learning, so if you'd want to have him professionally trained, he'd love it.

Flipper is a member of both gentle/dainty play group, and he can handle the rough and rowdy's. He can handle anything, but he's ready to handle a life with a family of his own.

He is somewhat of a goofball, and he has a lot of puppy playfulness in him! He is bunches of fun and loves attention. The mischievous look in his eyes tells you, he's ready to rock and roll!
Knonk doesn't really know how to walk on a leash yet, but he has some smarts, and with a bit of practice, it's a sure bet he'll get there!

Yesterday was a wonderful shelter day, and we can't thank our loving, wonderful community enough for adopting, fostering and volunteering!

While long-stay, Benita (A107837) didn't find her forever or foster home, she did get a special day out with some amazing volunteers!
Benita's newest besties had nothing but compliments for this sweet, pretty lady! She was fantastic walking around. Enjoyed some much needed lap time and love time! Then she entertained by playing with toys and performing zoomies!
