We have reached our goal to help Jim and his kitties! 💜

Babe and his friends are so thankful that we have such amazing donors and supporters that are willing to help this group of cats and their caretaker.

Meet our kind, soft-spoken friend and longtime Waco cat lover, Jim. You may have spotted him on his bicycle and caring for a few groups of outdoor Waco cats.

Several special needs kitties are lucky enough to live with Jim and get extra support from a daily immune system supplement for nasal congestion. However, sweet Babe has persistent labored breathing, snotty nose, and crusty eyes that common antibiotics aren't handling.

Last week when he was feeling pretty poorly, we saw him for a checkup and respiratory panel to learn what's causing her grief. Babe is still waiting for his results from his testing and will receive his results within the next few days.

Will you help much-loved cats get a little extra vet care? The respiratory panel, supplements, and special food are about $425. Can you help with one-time diagnostic and treatment meds, or with a monthly donation to help Jim and his kitties?

We heard the requests, and we’re happy to oblige - our next mass spay/neuter transport spot is Hubbard, TX! 🥳

On Tuesday, November 10th, our Community Care van will meet Hubbard neighbors at the Family Dollar - 50 N. Magnolia Ave - to load as many cats and dogs as can safely fit for a round-trip ride to our Waco clinic to receive high-quality, affordable spay/neuter + vaccine services.

💜 Pets 3 pounds and up are welcome: big dogs, little dogs, barn cats, lap cats, and everyone in between.

💚 First come, first served in order of interest form completion - room is limited on our transport van, but we’ll do our best to fill it to the max! Fill out this form to get connected directly with our transport coordinator for booking: https://forms.gle/oJGZRUqPMqXRLnKJ7

Bark and Wave Bash 2026 — another one for the books! 🌊🐾

We had an incredible afternoon at Hawaiian Falls Waco filled with wagging tails, splashing paws, and plenty of happy pups!

With more than 180 tickets sold, raffle ticket purchases, and generous donations from our amazing community, we’re officially one step closer to reaching our goal of getting a new Community Care Team van! This van will help our team bring essential veterinary care and resources to pets and families throughout our community who need it most. 💙

A huge thank-you to Hawaiian Falls Waco for hosting this special event with us, to all of our wonderful vendors for helping make the day possible, and, of course, to everyone who grabbed a ticket and brought their pups out to join the fun. We loved seeing so many families making memories together while supporting ABC’s mission!

Thank you to our friends at Art Center Waco for inviting us to be part of the Hounds in the Hulse gallery opening reception on September 17th!

We had such a wonderful evening connecting with our Waco community and celebrating the animals who mean so much to us. 💜

We loved seeing the many ways artists and animal lovers brought their pets to life through paintings, photographs, drawings, and more. Getting to meet some of the artists and hear about the animals behind their work made the evening even more special. We are so grateful that we got to join the celebration of local creativity and see the love we have for our pets!

We’re excited to share TWO big announcements in our spay/neuter efforts:

#1 Our Mart, TX mass spay/neuter transport later this week is fully booked. Thank you to the Mart neighbors taking advantage of this opportunity and helping make it a successful transport. 🎉

#2 We’re serving a new community in October with this kind of spay/neuter transport opportunity - Coolidge, TX!

On Tuesday, October 13th, our Community Care van will meet Coolidge neighbors at the Civic Center Building - 806 Bell St, Coolidge, TX - to load as many cats and dogs as can safely fit for a round-trip ride to our Waco clinic to receive high-quality, affordable spay/neuter and vaccine services.
