Wabash County Animal Shelter, Inc. Wabash, Indiana A limited admissions shelter dedicated to providing compassionate care & a second chance to animals in need. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, & rehome.

We prioritize the health of every animal, ensuring we don't exceed our capacity for care. Please call or come see us if you lost your pet, are looking to adopt, want to volunteer, or have any questions! Current adoption prices:

Dogs under 6 months- $90
Dogs over 6 months- $70
Cats under 6 months- $65
Cats over 6 months- $55

Animals are also occasionally sponsored, and the adoption fee is reduced in those cases! Check out our facebook albums for current adoptable pets. Some cats are also available to be adopted at J&K Mega Pet in Wabash.

Over the past several days, we've been blessed with donations of much-needed supplies, and we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU! 🐶🐱

From food and cleaning supplies to everyday essentials, every donation makes a difference in the lives of the animals who depend on us.

Running a shelter takes an incredible amount of supplies, and some days it feels like we go through them faster than we can restock! Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community, we're able to keep those shelves stocked and continue providing the care our animals deserve.

Whether you dropped something off, had supplies delivered, or shared one of our urgent needs posts, please know how much we appreciate YOU!

Let's get this beautiful girl HOME! ❤️

An adult female Great Pyrenees was found in North Manchester after following someone walking near the post office.

After asking around, the individual was directed to a kind community member who agreed to keep her safe while her family is located.

🐾 She appears to be in excellent condition and very well cared for, so we're sure someone is missing this sweet girl!

🐾 No microchip.

🚨🐱 MEET HARRISON: TINY BODY, ZERO CHILL! 🐱🚨

Meet Harrison. A 4-month-old menace to society who has been at the shelter for TWO MONTHS and apparently has absolutely NO intention of behaving himself into a home.

This boy has three settings:
⚡ ZOOMIES.
💕 LOVE ME.
🧗 SURPRISE! I LIVE ON YOUR SHOULDER NOW.

Personal space? Never heard of her.
Boundaries? For other cats.
Impulse control? Not installed. 😂

Harrison is super playful, ridiculously lovable, and running on approximately 47,000 volts of pure kitten chaos. You sit down? He has a plan. You stand up? He has a better plan. You thought you were just going to pet a kitten? WRONG. You are now a jungle gym with a face.

And the AUDACITY of this tiny man to be this cute while acting like he pays the mortgage?! SIR. YOU EAT FOR FREE. 😭

But underneath all that spicy little chaos is a sweetheart who wants someone to love him, play with him, and let him be part of the family.

❤️ TWO MONTHS. This baby has spent half his little life waiting for someone to pick him. How has nobody fallen victim to his charm yet?!

🏡 Harrison is looking for a forever home with people who appreciate a little chaos, a lot of cuddles, and the occasional surprise shoulder passenger.

Wilson and Jackie would like a WORD with the public. 🙄🐈

These two are FIVE MONTHS OLD. Adorable? ✔️ Playful? ✔️ Built-in best friend? ✔️

And what do they have to show for it?

ZERO INTEREST. ZERO APPLICATIONS. NOT A SINGLE PERSON?! 🫠

LIKE… WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?! A KITTEN WITH A COLLEGE DEGREE?!

Meet Wilson 💙 and Jackie 💗, a bonded brother-and-sister duo who need to find a home TOGETHER!

They play together, comfort each other, and deserve to grow up side by side. Two besties, double the purrs, and twice the entertainment. What's not clicking, people?! 😂

Adopting a bonded pair isn't double the trouble. It's double the love, with two tiny supervisors ready to judge your life choices from the couch. 🐾

DAY 141 at the shelter. ONE handsome boy. And somehow, this man is still waiting for somebody to get their act together and APPLY. 😂

Oden is working with a trainer on his manners and doing QUITE WELL! 👏 He’s putting in the work, making progress, and trying to be the best version of himself. Meanwhile, y’all are out here scrolling past him like you’ve got a personal vendetta against handsome dogs. 💀

🚨 APPARENTLY, BEING A KITTEN ISN’T ENOUGH TO GET YOU ADOPTED ANYMORE?! 🙄🐾

Meet Billy & Elvis, two baby boys hanging out in Meow Manor while the humans of this world apparently lose their ability to recognize a GOOD THING WHEN IT’S RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM. 😂

THEY’RE THREE MONTHS OLD, PEOPLE! THREE! They’re at the perfect age for kitten chaos, ridiculous zoomies, toys everywhere, and years of unconditional love. And what are they getting? CRICKETS. 🦗🦗

Billy and Elvis are starting to think they need a publicist, a billboard, and maybe a full-blown world tour just to get noticed. 🎸🤦

These boys deserve homes, couches, toys, and humans who adore them. Meow Manor was never supposed to be their forever address!

ANOTHER POST. ANOTHER ROUND OF “OMG, HE’S SO CUTE!” AND STILL NOT. ONE. APPLICATION. Y’all are running a whole fan club for this cat, but nobody wants to be the president and TAKE HIM HOME?! 😂👏

Oreo isn’t even 2 years old yet! He’s playful, has ridiculously pretty eyes, and seems to do well with other cats. This little black-and-white cow kitty has the looks AND the personality. 🐄😍

Please help find Olivia! ❤️

Olivia is a beloved feral kitty who showed up at her caretaker's home three years ago and has been there every day since. She even has her own heated cat house!

Olivia enjoys being petted but does NOT like being picked up and may scratch or bite if someone tries.

Her caretaker has been searching for her and is heartbroken and worried about her safety. 💔

If you live near Fulton and Carroll Streets or the surrounding area, please keep an eye out for Olivia! Check garages, sheds, porches, and other places she may be hiding.

If you spot her, please don't attempt to pick her up. Instead, send a message with her location.

🐾❤️ A Sweet Girl Needs a Loving Home ❤️🐾

We're hoping our wonderful community can come together to help this beautiful 6-year-old Bull Terrier find a safe, loving home. Her owner has only 24 hours to find her a place to go, and we're doing everything we can to help spread the word. ❤️

This sweet girl has so much love to give and deserves a chance at a happy future.

🐾 Bull Terrier
🐾 Spayed
🐾 Current on rabies vaccination
🐾 HOUSEBROKEN!
🐾 Does very well with cats
🐾 Wonderful with children
🐾 Does not do well with other dogs, so a home without dogs would be best.
