Long Lane Newfies

Long Lane Newfies My name is Amy and I live in the country on 10 acres with my husband, our daughter and my sweet pups! Each of my adults are fully health tested before breeding!

It is my goal to bring healthy happy puppies into families that are eagerly waiting.

This is what raising puppies is all about for me. The families who's homes are made a little brighter, a little more chaotic, and with a lot more laughs and love. Is this not the cutest thing to hit your Facebook feed today?!

Jack's mom said he's learning to play baseball! It sure looks like he's got the best little human coach! ⚾🧒🐾🐢

Ace and I hadn't been out on a therapy visit since my surgery but we were invited for a special presentation to one of the facilities we visit. We're part of a team of therapy dogs and their handlers and at least one of us will go each week to spread happiness and joy to the clients. They made a picture of each dog to present to us for pet appreciation day. Ace was in his element and we are both so honored to be a part of this. ❀️

Took this not so little lady, to the vet this morning to get her re-established with my vet now that she's back with me. If ADD was a thing in dogs, she's a poster child for it. πŸ˜‚ But she sure does love people and attention! There's simply not enough to go around in her world. We have renamed her Pancake, because seriously, who doesn't love a good pancake?! πŸ₯ž And get this... At 6.5 months old, this crazy girl weighs 83 pounds without an ounce of fat on her body! She's gonna be a big girl! ❀️ That's a lot of pancake! πŸ€ͺ

Look what the wind blew in! πŸ’¨πŸΎ Not really, but that wind today was intense!

In all seriousness though, Ciders sweet sister, Pumpkin, who I updated about the other day, has rejoined us here. Much to Ciders delight! She is absolutely thrilled to have energy that matches hers to play with. Pumpkin had the sweetest family who realized as she was growing so quickly and yet still very much had puppy energy, that she was just going to be more then they could handle at their age. They had put the time and effort into training, but goodness, a 70 pound 6 month old is a lot. And sometimes no matter how much you prepare, until you're living it, you just don't realize what it's going to be exactly. I hate to see the tears and heartbreak when saying goodbyes, I wish it worked out, I really do. But I'm so thankful they did the right thing by her in the end. It's hard to get good pictures of moving puppies but here's a couple of the girls reuniting and Pumpkin on the ride home..πŸŽƒ

Another pup-date this gorgeous warm spring like day! This is Pumpkin, she's a sister to my Cider. She's 6 months old and 70+ pounds. She was such a fun sassy little girl here, and I'm told she still is. She's also a lovebug and just like her sister Cider, she is all about the belly rubs! I love it!! She's halfway through her puppy training and absolutely flourishing. What a pretty girl! πŸ₯°

I absolutely love getting updates of my pups! I haven't had the time/energy to share the ones I get with you here lately. But I got this one today after these ladies went to the groomer.... These two sweet girls are from different litters and momma's but got to go live together with the same family. Raine, the black pup is a Kasia baby and will be 2 in May. Adler is a Millie baby and was a year old back in October. Beautiful girls!! ❀️ Now to go splash in a mud puddle! 😜

Cider 🍎 and I got out and took a walk today! The fresh air was nice and someone needed to work on their leash walking manners a little bit! Hint-it's not me. 😜 She did pretty good after she got her initial wiggles out! 🀍

πŸ’™ I co-own this sweet chocolate boy with my friend Alix Lynn Gable! He’s an import from Poland and just turned one yesterday. He’s growing into a big, stunning boy, and I can’t wait to add him to my program once his health testing is complete. My favorite kind of chocolate comes with four legs! 🐾🍫

She's full of energy, as equally spicy as she is sweet, a little land shark with a mouth full of razor sharp teeth-- but the way she looks at me, the focus and attention she gives me... This girly wants to please and with a little work on my part, she won't need treats, just praise and love to train her! 🍏 Cider 🍎

Breeding and life update:

On December 5, I had a small softball sized tumor removed from my brain. I was in surgery for 10 hours but God is so good and they believe they got all of the tumor removed. πŸ™ It was/is benign which is also wonderful news. I spent 5 days in the hospital and went home with 45 staples in my head. Recovery has been soooo much slower than I anticipated. I have discovered I am not a very good patient and don't "rest" well. πŸ€ͺI want so bad to be back to my usual self, active and out and about. But God has something to teach me in this season of rest and I am trying to adjust my attitude and learn what that is. πŸ˜‡ All in all though, I am doing really well for being 5 weeks post op a major brain surgery.

Before I knew when surgery was going to be, a couple of my girls came into heat and I did my part to breed them. Then I got my surgery date and realized I would only have a few weeks to recover before these litters would be due. Thankfully I have an amazing husband and support system and I knew it would work out one way or another. However, both girls ended up not pregnant. 😒I absolutely hate that for those of you who are so eagerly waiting. However, I do believe wholeheartedly that God knows exactly what we need and what we can handle, and I don't think puppies were it for me right now. And as much as I know I had help, it would have driven me crazy to not be in the middle of taking care of them and making sure they were ok. So I am sure it is for the best. As usual, if any of you have been waiting for over a year and are tired of waiting, I totally understand and am more than willing to refund you your deposit if you contact me and say so. I am so sorry for the disappointment, however I am so thankful for both my health and the health of my girls. We will try again when they cycle next. Should be in May sometime which would give us litters born in July. 🀞

Thank you to each of you who has reached out, prayed for me, sent encouraging messages, and just followed along. I appreciate each and everyone of you! ❀️
