Happy Thursday! Just an FYI, Pachaug Animal Hospital will be operating under abbreviated hours this Saturday, 5/16/26. Dr. Belair will be out of the office, so we will not be seeing appointments. We will however have technicians on staff from 9am to 12pm to answer phone calls and fill certain medications.

⛈️Thunderstorm season is officially upon us (and firework season isn't far behind either!) If your pet struggles with noise aversion, it might not be a bad idea to consider helping them through the stress with medication. Certain medications can be very helpful for some pets to get them through those thunderstorm scaries.

Give us a call at 860-376-2544 if you think your pet may benefit from anxiety medications to get you through storm season!

THROWBACK THURSDAY! Here we have Lennie and Finn, Dr. Belair's dogs hanging out with her at work a few years ago. They both are looking a little more grey these days -- they look like puppies here! ❤️

Starting a new weekly tradition, ✨️THROWBACK THURSDAY!✨️

This week, we want to shout out the mighty Impala! The picture on the left is from this past October, when Impala was found on the side of the road after being hit by a car. He was brought into us by a good samaratin, and appeared to be only about 8 weeks old at the time. Despite some wounds on his face, he was (luckily) otherwise unscathed! He persevered through his recovery and is now living his best life with Kaia, one of our technicians. The photo on the right is from this past January when he came back in to be neutered. He has come a long way! ❤️
