Are you experiencing the Sunday scaries? Dreading the new week? Not wanting to face Monday? Yeah, I’m kinda feeling like that. A little lack of direction, plus an upcoming medical appointment this week has me anxious. Well, Pequeño wanted to lend his adorableness to help ease you into the week. I know he’s good at reducing my heart rate and helping me be mindful of the moment. I’ll pray for you this week and whatever it is that you are up against. And I hope PQ makes you smile!

Happy Farm Girl Friday! Stunning painting by God last night as I tucked in the farm! 😻 The farm stand is open today (Friday 8/14 from 9am-7pm). Saturday 8/15 I’ll be at the Vista Farmers Market from 8am-12noon. This is my last Vista market for the month of August, so stock up on goods, or plan on coming to the stand. The stand will then be open daily from Sunday 8/16- Thursday 8/20, from 9am-7pm. Thank you for supporting my small family farm and business! Your support means the world to me and helps me work towards bigger goals and dreams I have for the farm! 💚

Happy Farm Girl Friday! A few new pretty little things are making their debut at the Vista Farmers Market tomorrow! Plus a fresh basket of luffas, and of course all the goat milk soaps! Saturday 8/8 from 8am-12noon at the Vista Farmers Market. Sunday 8/9, and Monday 8/10 the farm stand will be open from 9am-7pm. Please message me for the address. Farm stand will also be open Thursday 8/13, and Friday 8/14. And then my last weekend of August at the Vista Farmers Market will be Saturday 8/15. Come stock up on your favorites! There will be more farm stand dates later in the month as well!

This morning I enjoyed my coffee in my favorite mug with my favorite quote. When I was a little kid I spent a day with my dad volunteering and painting storm drains around town. You know the signs, “no dumping, I live downstream.” And it has either a duck or a dolphin on it. (Glimmers that go full circle in my life like that make me happy) We chose the dolphin stencil at the time and I remember having fun spending the day painting curbs. At the end of the day I was given this coffee mug. Kinda a silly thing for a kid, but it sat on my desk and held pencils for many years. I’m not entirely sure the quote made sense to me initially. But it became something that is so basic and intuitive to me now. I used this quote many times in papers and presentations growing up- whenever I could pick the topic, it was usually animal welfare or conservation related. Anyway, it kinda hit me this morning. How a silly thing like a coffee mug had the potential to be so influential in my life, or inspiring. Or maybe it was the path I was on all along and this mug was some sort of anchoring object. However it all worked out, it was nice to think about this morning, and nice to share with you now. 💚

Just a pretty little night on the farm. Evening chores have a way of getting hectic sometimes, but the moment everyone is fed, watered, and tucked in, I feel a sense of calm. Getting to walk back towards the house through the garden always does wonders for my soul if I take the time to slow down and be present. Tonight I noticed more dragonfruit flowers in bloom at once than I have ever seen before! What a blessing those fruits will be! And sweeter with the memory of this sunset on them 🥰

It’s time to wrap some soaps! These beauties are all cured and will be out in the farm stand this week starting tomorrow, and then at the Vista Farmers Market Saturday 7/18! You’re looking at Patchouli, Turmeric, Matcha, Calendula, and Citrus! Come pickup some raw goat milk soaps- your skin will thank you, and so will I! 💚

Happiest of birthdays to my amazing son! What a cool farm kid I have! Can’t believe he’s turning 10 today! 10?? How is that even possible? This little man is such a thoughtful person, he’s sweet and genuine, smart, he works hard, he cares, he’s gentle and kind, he’s witty, and can be oh so silly! Love him like crazy and so grateful for this kid! Happy Birthday Jett Man!

Happy Farm Girl Friday! Okay, I started a new little sustainability project today! It all started with a 100% cotton fitted sheet that got a rip in it. Not exactly sure how it happened, but I have 460 pounds of dog in my house and they can be a little rough on things 😅 I didn’t think I could efficiently repair it without a whole ton of effort, and no guarantees it still wouldn’t fall apart. I didn’t love the idea of just tossing it in the trash either… 🤔 Now, I try to live a pretty low toxic and reduced waste kind of life, but sometimes I’m lulled into what’s easy-as we all are! I started keeping disinfecting wipes in the house and using them pretty regularly for wiping down countertops. So, I found a recipe for a low tox switch! I started by cutting the clean sheet into single use sized wipes, folded them up, put them into a gallon sized glass jar with a sealing lid and filled it with a mixture of filtered water, vinegar, vodka, and tea tree and lemon essential oils! Now I have disinfecting wipes on hand that are washable and reusable! Feel free to message me if you want the exact recipe!

If you get motion sickness, this is not for you! 🤪 Jett took a phone and made this video. And although it starts to make me feel sick, it’s also adorable! My son is definitely like me in a lot of ways! Love his big heart and smiles and his ability to love my farm and the animals like I do!
