Happy Farm Girl Friday! It’s been a while, so I’m coming in for an update. First, I’ve taken a little farmers market break, I plan on being back April 18th. Please reach out for milk, eggs, soap, etc. in the meantime! I hope to do some open farm stand hours soon, but also, I am more than happy to open the farm stand by request or appointment! Next up, my health. I finally had my MRI and got results. There are two abnormalities that came back, this time in my left breast. They weren’t able to find them for biopsy on mammogram or ultrasound. I will be having an MRI assisted biopsy on Monday 3/23. I appreciate all the prayers and kind words! I also can’t thank you enough if you’ve reached out, offered to help, drove me to appointments, are bringing us food, care for my children, chip in on the farm, etc. I know I need the support and I’m awful at asking for help. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you! The waiting in this whole ordeal has been the absolute worst, but in these last few days I have started to settle into a sense of peace. I can only give the credit to God, that he’s reassuring me the waiting for this is almost over, and no matter the results, the doctors and I can come up with a solid plan moving forward. The silver lining of the MRI results was that my oncologist pushed to have genetic testing done right away. Getting the results back that I didn’t carry the breast cancer gene is nice, but doesn’t mean my risk still doesn’t exist. Anyway, I hope you are well! Take care of yourself and those around you, love you all! And please ask me if you need any farm goods!! Those are the best possible distractions! Thank you! 💚
