Some kittens come into rescue and find their families right away.

Buttercup & Blossom are not those kittens.

These beautiful sisters have officially celebrated their first birthday, and with that milestone comes another: they have now spent an entire year in rescue, waiting for someone to choose them.

Through every season, every foster sibling, and every adoption announcement, these two have remained exactly what they’ve always been, best friends.

Buttercup and Blossom do everything together. They play together, nap together, explore together, and when the day is done, they always find their way back to one another. Their bond is effortless and undeniable.

It’s hard not to wonder how they’ve been overlooked for so long.

They’ve grown from tiny kittens into gorgeous young cats, but they still have that playful spirit and kitten curiosity that makes them so much fun to be around. They bring out the best in each other and deserve a family who will see that keeping them together isn’t a compromise, it’s a gift.

After one year of waiting, our wish is simple: that the next chapter of their story begins in a home of their own. 🤍

Buttercup & Blossom have officially celebrated their first birthday and one full year in rescue.

In that year, they’ve grown from tiny kittens into beautiful young cats, but one thing has never changed: they do everything together. 🤍

They play together, nap together, and at the end of the day, always find their way back to each other. Their bond is the kind you don’t come across every day.

After a year of waiting, we’d love nothing more than to see these sisters finally find the forever home they’ve been dreaming of.

At 8 months old, Houdini is still a sweet, shy girl. She’s come such a long way since arriving in rescue, but what she really needs now is a calm, quiet home.

The rescue environment has helped her grow, but I know there’s even more of her personality waiting to shine.

And the proof is her foster mom.

With her foster mom, Houdini has found her person. She seeks her out, hangs out with her, and even snuggles with her. Once that bond is there, she is incredibly sweet and loyal. The challenge isn’t whether Houdini can love someone; it’s helping her find the person she feels safe enough to love.

Houdini would do well as a solo cat in the right home, but I think she would truly thrive with a friendly feline companion to help show her the ropes and remind her that life is meant to be fun. 🐾

She may not be the first cat to greet you at the door, but for the person willing to be patient, I think she’ll be one of the most rewarding cats you’ll ever know.

Quiet homes. Soft blankets. Gentle routines. A little bit of patience.

Rescue never really slows down, and neither do the expenses behind it. Every bag of food disappears faster than I can replace it lately, but these cats still depend on me every single day.

As of today, I have:
2 bags left for 13 adult fosters.
1 bag left for two feral colonies.
2 bags left for 5 kittens.

And somehow, the litter situation is even scarier. 🫠

Everyone, meet Goose. 🪿🤍

This sweet little boy’s story started in the middle of a store parking lot, where one of my long-term fosters went in for some casual shopping and instead walked out rescuing a kitten. Because honestly… how do you leave this face behind?

Goose was found lying right out in the open, tiny, vulnerable, and somehow still completely unbothered by the chaos around him. And now that he’s safe inside? He absolutely lives up to his name.

He’s a silly goose in every sense of the word, playful, curious, and already full of personality.

I can already tell he’s going to grow into such a special little cat, and I can’t wait to watch his personality continue to unfold.

Luna has this way of making you slow down for a second. 🖤

Quiet. Gentle. Observant. The kind of girl who doesn’t demand attention, but somehow always leaves the biggest impression.

If you’ve followed her story before, you know Luna is blind, but she’s learned how to navigate the world entirely on her own terms. She maps out her space, follows familiar voices, and somehow always seems to know exactly where everyone is. She may not be the loudest cat in the room, but she notices everything.

And honestly? I think this photo says it all. Sitting so perfectly still like a tiny little shadow creature pretending she’s mysterious while secretly just waiting to hear someone she trusts. 🕯️✨

The rescue environment has always been overwhelming for Luna, but despite everything she’s been through, she remains incredibly and quietly brave. She doesn’t need saving anymore; she needs someone willing to understand her.

Pugsley has certainly mastered the art of being sweet, calm, and just slightly aloof, while Wednesday continues to surprise me more and more with how curious and engaged she’s becoming. She always wants to be nearby watching what’s going on, learning, observing, and figuring the world out in her own quiet way… not to mention being EXTREMELY playful. 🖤

These two feel like they walked straight out of a cozy October day. Tiny house panthers with Addams Family energy, soft spooky season vibes, and the kind of personalities that make you want to light a candle, put on a scary movie, and stay home with your cats all night. 🍂🕯️

They’re still shy and sensitive souls, but they’ve come so far. What they really need now is a calm, patient home where they can fully settle in and continue growing into themselves together. ✨

Introducing Freya💕

This sweet but SPUNKY little girl is around 2 months old and already has enough personality packed into her tiny body to keep everyone on their toes. After being spotted outside in a neighborhood, Freya gave her foster mom a full-on chase scene before finally being discovered wedged up inside a car. 🚗💨

Now that she’s safe indoors, she spends her days being adorable, dramatic, curious, and just a little bit mischievous. One minute she’s posing politely like a princess, the next she’s launching herself across the room.

Honestly? She’s perfect. 🤍

Somewhere between the quiet naps in the sun, the full food bowls, the vet appointments, the litter changes, and the endless loads of laundry, rescue keeps going. 🤍

Right now, KFM Rescue is carrying a lot of backtracked operating costs while continuing to care for 20 foster cats and multiple feral colonies every single day. Food, litter, medical care, vaccines, supplies, TNR, it all adds up fast, and every month becomes a balancing act to keep everyone safe, healthy, and cared for.

This photo is such a peaceful moment, but behind scenes like this is a rescue constantly running on love, time, and community support.
