Riverine Retrievers Riverine Retrievers is a small kennel specializing in AKC/ UKC Labrador Retrievers. We are located just outside of Viroqua, WI.

R Little Retrievers is a small breeding program located 5 miles outside of Viroqua, WI that specializes in the Labrador Retriever breed. The program is ran by McKenzie Kumlin and Jesse Robertson. All our dogs are registered through the AKC and UKC, and have obtained at least one title (whether it be in conformation or hunt tests). Before breeding all our dogs have their hips, elbows, heart and eye

s evaluated through OFA and/ or PennHip, along with being tested for the Labrador Retriever Essential Panel through PawPrint Genetics.

For those waiting on the Lego x Suzzie litter announcement…
Now that everyone has had some time to process their feelings/ emotions some and recoup, I unfortunately come with some terrible news to share. Suzzie went in to labor on the night of the 7th and delivered 6 puppies. 4 of the six were stillborn- one being a half absorbed/ decomposed puppy. Though very sad, we were thankful to have 2 surviving puppies. Unfortunately over the next 48 hour period, both surviving puppies started to rapidly decline and against our best efforts they too both passed away. We all came together and decided to send in 3 of the 6 puppies for a necropsy. It will take a few weeks before we have any results, but our best guess at the moment is that the half decomposed puppy had created a toxic environment for the remaining puppies to survive/ thrive.
For everyone who was on the list to be contacted about this litter, I will be sending out an email about your options going forward. I’m sorry I don’t come with better news, but unfortunately sometimes Mother Nature serves us a crual reminder that sometimes spite our best efforts, she is simply in full control. 💔

AKC reunite just contacted me regarding two found unregistered microchips originally purchased by me located in Crystal Lake IL. One belonging to a yellow lab and one a black lab. The two dogs are currently being held on a 7 day stray hold and I’m trying to figure out who they belong to. I will sit down and go through my paperwork but I’m hoping their owners are in this group and we can get it figured out faster so we can get them home!

We have been pretty quiet around here lately but that is all about to change come January! One of our clients has asked us to help whelp, raise, and place a very exciting litter and we couldn’t be more happier to do so!

Pregnancy has been confirmed via ultrasound and it looks like we will be expecting a pretty good size litter, (official puppy count X-ray will be done closer to her due date).

This will be an all black litter. Of course both parents are fully health tested, both are also titled in the field!

I would love to see this litter placed in active test/ working homes, but a great pet home is never going to be turned down.

I will update our website here in the next couple weeks to share all the information, but in the mean time you can always message me here to inquire.

I have two black 100% bench bred female Labrador Retriever puppies that I’m hoping to place before my back to back surgeries scheduled in two weeks! These two girls were born 01/08/2024- out of health tested parents (OFA- hips, elbows, eyes, cardiac echo, and DNA). The last picture will show their clearances along with pedigree. One is available to a pet home only, the other I’d consider a co/own on in the right circumstance. Both have been introduced to ducks and absolutely love them! We are located in Viroqua, Wisconsin- if traveling to us is an issue we can absolutely help with transportation! We can provide references! Due to the limited timeframe due to my upcoming surgeries please only inquire if actually serious and are ready to add a puppy to your family. Thanks!
